  1. I apologize for any heat I've added to this thread. I was simply voicing my opinion. Understandably it may have been perceived as trolling with a post number of 14; I likely would of reacted the same way. Please refrain from criticizing or defending my comments. I don't wish to add any more fuel to this fire.
  2. @coreybock: > No affence, to me it sounds like your just agreeing with ZoSo and PheXion to make yourself sound smart, and if you did, it didn't work. What’s with the personal attacks? However, Baron is right I only have 14 posts which makes me a mildly retarded ten year old and not worthy of commenting on anything beyond saying “Leet tilez wut..lol.” I Can’t wait till I hit 1,000 posts and magically become good at Eclipse.
  3. Agreed, looks like you've just painted over/ manipulated other resources. ZoSo and PheXion are spot on when saying you were somewhat misleading posting two full screen shots saying you wanted to "showoff more of my fully custom GFX."
  4. Unprofessional, learn to spell and somebody might take you seriously.
  5. This Strongbad email reminds me of all the Eclipse games…and how everyone uses cartoony anime japanese sprites. http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail57.html Enjoy
  6. cutsie anime nooooo it burns my eyes!
  7. How about for the characters…instead of having a torso, legs, and head file? Any way to just have one file for player sprites?
  8. Yeah I thought of that…just seems a little inefficient.
  9. Is there a simple way to make the player sprites only one image (no walking animation) and be able to paper doll them? For example I just want the two sprites below to be the only player images and have the paperdoll effects…
  10. Any linux users out there?
  11. Yeah its 127.0.0.1 …. It will say its checking the server for about 3 minutes before it says it cant connect.
  12. Hey, I've got both the client and server to start up on ubuntu through wine. However, I cannot connect to anything with the client. I've followed the linux tutorial posted on the main page but it doesn't reference any problems like this. Any Ideas?
  13. Yeah I looked at reiners stuff…dont care for Isometric. Sharp 2d tiles will work for me.
  14. Like the title says I'm looking for tiles/sprites that are not anime based. I am willing to pay for quality work, unless someone has a free source. Thank you.
  15. Hello, As per the suggested resume outline: *** What you are experienced in and what you actually want to do.** I've been creating/working on MMORPGs for about six years. Most significantly I worked on a Java based MMORPG called "Dusk". My experience with it was mostly scripting, world design, and GMing; however, I dabbled in tile/sprite creation if there was a need. I'm looking for another opportunity to script/design/GM. *** Some portfolio or samples of your work.** Please see http://www.happypenguin.org/show?Dusk It is completely unrelated to the Eclipse engine as it was coded is Java. It was originally created many years ago, it looks rudimentary by today's standards but it was a good game for those of us that played it. Note, I am not the original creator of Dusk, I joined the team a couple years after it came out. *** How many years you've spent already on the several things you're experienced in.** As I mentioned I've worked occasionally on various projects over the past six years. Mostly scripting, world design, and GMing. *** Some scheme representing when you can actually work each week.** Some weeks more than others. On average a couple of hours a night. *** Some introduction of yourself: who you're, where you live, how old you're, etc.** I'm in my mid-thirties. I design home security systems. *** What you expect of the game you're working for.** I was considering starting my own game from scratch but I simply don't have the time. I'm looking to work with a mature group who has a good vision on what they want to achieve. I'm new to the Eclipse engine so some growing pains should be expected. Additionally, I can't stand Anime so I'd prefer to work on a project that didn't use anime styles. Thats all I've got, thanks for your time.
