What is a good free one? I tried using camstudio, jing and a couple others but they didn't work out for me. Jing was stupid, Camstudio couldn't record properly on my computer, it would be laggy and slow. I don't know anything about video so I don't know what kind of settings to use. I was wondering about this because I might make video tutorials because there are a lot of newbies asking newbie questions :P I'm too lazy to type it all out and add screenshots too.

Dude, I used to play that game all the fucking time. I almost beat it too, till my brother deleted my file. He deleted mine, because he thought I deleted his file on Phantasy Star haha, we had a Sega emulator or whatever console it was, on our computer.

Why is the sprite so bad? I also don't see it being fat in any way. EDIT: It will look better when it has some gear.

Also, I was fucking baked out of my mind when doing this. I did this in like an hour, and I had fun doing it. Its not the greatest, but it was good practice. If you have anything to say that you might think is mean I don't care, say it. It may help me improve. I want a flawless looking GUI! :)

I am making a game with a couple other buddies in my school. Were basically doing everything except pixel art. None of us can do it good, and I want a great looking game. Therefore, I am hiring a pixel artist. Possibly more if they can work together. Here is a bit more info on the game: >! Adding more soon… We need somebody who can work in this kind of style: (were doing it in flash, and were keeping the original sprite size)  _Note: The game is a medieval game, not a bright and happy cartoonish game._ Yes, were using the Half-Kaizer sprites. I just love this sprite, and I want a world of pixels to go with it. A sprite edit will be needed, for attack frames and such, with swords, and bows etc. We will need tiles (still 32x32 pixels) , including grass, dirt, water, cliffs / mountains, trees, buildings, etc. Thinking of having tiles kind of based on this image here: (I know its Zelda but the structures and such are like what I have in mind) >!  _Note: I'm looking more at the brick buildings and the church / temple on the left._ We will also need weapons, and armor. Weapons include swords (1 and 2 hand) axes (again, 1 and 2 hand), daggers, staves and bows. Armor includes cloth, leather, mail, etc… Special ones would be cool, like animal hides and stuff. Monsters are a big job too, we will need a wide variety. Including wolves, goblins, (all those common medieval encounters ;) Bosses are possibly needed too. Yeah I'm going to enhance it later, but this is basically the base layout. Later I need to get a spell hotbar in there.

Working on a GUI for my game. How does this look? Its simple but I like it, will upgrade the button icons and some other stuff after though. The circular shaped part in the corner by the health / mana bars will be either the player's level or a portion of their player in there like a portrait.
