Ive tried adding IFs in where the SetPlayerDir is being called, and it almost worked: When the key was presse it stopped the character turning, but they only move in the direction they are facing. for e.g. my character is facing UP, and I hold down the "Strafe" key but when I move pressing the LEFT key, the character Still moves UP, in the direction they are facing. I think its because when the character is moved by the code, it directly uses the character's direction to work out the changes in X + Y coodinates. Ill keep trying though. Think im going to have to edit the core of the movement code to get it working. Thanks again for your help though Crypto :)

Hey All, Just wondering if anyone had an idea how to implement this: What I want to do is when a player holds a certian key down, the player's character shall fix its direction (the way he/she is facing) but still be able to move in all four directions. Ive tried editing the source at all SetPlayerDir(); so that when a key is held, the code ignores the commands to alter the player's direction. but all this produced is some strange movement and teleporting characters. Any one have any advice on what would be the best way to create this? Thanks in advance, Halos.
  4. Ive Managed to fix the problem…. There were some brackets missing on some of the GetVar and PutVar's I apologise for wasting time on the matter, but thanks anyways.

  6. Im currently playin A B.C. Rich Warlock (Bronze seiries) through a Boss ML-2 "Metalcore" pedal, My amps only a tiny 10w marshall amp but its alright for practice. Ive done a little recording in the past but nothing serious came from it. If anyone wants to Check it out: www.myspace.com/Prophecht ive only been playing around 2 years, so its not brilliant. P.S. Dont get a warlock if you sit while playing!

I was wondering if someone could help me out here, ive just added some extra script (SwiftDeath's revive script) and my entire script has gone funny, the scripts still load and I get no errors, but any script AFTER the revive script (scripted spells and stuff like that) does not work. scripted tiles still work but thats about It. Ive checked my server (says scripts are on and fine) and reloaded scripts many times. but still no Joy…... The script worked fine before and there are no problems mentioned on the revive script's post, so could it be a problem with my server program? or mabey my script file is corrupted (I use notepad to edit) Regerds, Dark Lord Halos.
