  1. Everytime I fall asleep i lose all my memories. Where I am, What I was doing, Where I was going, such and such. When I wake up, I lose all memory of being asleep. The only way I remember I was asleep is because of the groggyness and where I am.
  2. @defendersdef: > looked up fun mmorpgs on yahoo. this was pg 193 XD Ha.
  3. @In7el3ct: > I'll have to agree with hippoman. I didn't even know it existed until about 3 days before it came out, and I only knew that from a sidebar advert on a webpage. > > As for the graphics, I enjoy them. Cell shading may look cartoony, but it seems to work for this game. You (Kusy) may not like it, but that doesn't mean that other people shouldn't like it. TF2 looks like a cartoon too (it doesn't have the cell shading but it doesn't need it) and people play that all the time. > > As for the repetition, I'd say it has about as much repetition as diablo or d2\. It may get boring after a while, but there are so many skill and weapon combinations that you shouldn't get bored unless you're a twitchy counter-strike-esk player who goes apeshit if he doesn't kill something every 5 seconds. > > The multiplayer is done pretty well, 'cept for the fact that everyone I play with is a dick and complains about how you're supposed to play the game, either through what mission to do next, or what the best character combo is (it doesn't matter what the best is, it matters what's fun). > > The locations do get a bit repetitive after Rust Commons, but I challenge you to find a game that doesn't get a bit repetitive after half the game in this market. > > The story is remenicent of Treasure Island for me, and as long as you actually read the mission statements, it's not "lacking" at all. Most people just go to every mission, kill whatever's there, then get the reward, not actually taking the time to figure out what's going on, expecting the storyline to be given to them on a silver platter. Hell, if the storyline was given in cutscenes instead of mission statements and voice recorders, you'd just skip them anyways. > > Oh, and who cares if there's a non-skippable cutscene at the very start? It's like 2 minutes, and sets the tone pretty damn well. Super Metroid. Never gets old. Ever. Starcraft. Never gets old. Never. Why i just got back from making it.
  4. Damn, you're back? Cool Anyway why don't we just get a Life Advice section like Bay12?
  5. @Gwen: > OMG Hippo i gave you a bunch of atari roms a long time ago… you were looking for some atari game... so i gave you every atari game made. > > I believe that there are cart writers available that you can copy a rom to a cart to be used in your atari. back in my emulation days i saw them talking about them... maybe it was more readers than writers. No…I was looking for DOSbox games...
  6. @Anna: > I would assume a cartwriter is something that writes a game's ROM code to a cartridge to be used in a physical console. I dunno where you'd get one (or the blank cartridges for it) though. > > You need Enduro, Moon Patrol, and California Games. > > Oh yeah and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial! BEST GAME EVER! I dun wanna buy those games! Gimme em.
  7. @Gwen: > I love gorf and yars' revenge! > Pitfall is good too. > > Hippo now you just need to find a cartwriter, and copy all those atari roms i gave you over to carts :P What roms? also whats a cart writer?
  8. @slym: > I think that was sarcasm? Not at all. I loved the old ones. I know you put more WORK into the new ones. But I like the LOOK of the old ones better.
  9. Games: Gorf Space Invaders Combat Yars' Revenge Pitfall! (YES!!!!) Asteroids (ZOMG!) Warlords Tennis Frogger annnd…. like 3 more but i dun wanna go upstairs and get em.
  10. @[URFAG: > [USUCK]Kusy !@X@! link=topic=53075.msg573622#msg573622 date=1258061233] > Then you must die. > This game really sucks, repeats itself, lacks in graphics (cell shading is cool if done right but not here), lacks in story, locations suck, it's boring overall, characters desing is horrible - I can't stand looking at them (especialy sirens' face) not even mentioning the sounds (berserker - male masturbation sounds?). It suposed to be a Mad Max game while it is some duck up game for kids without any sense - come on, those graphics are like from [Toon Car Racing](http://i4.tinypic.com/5439lhh.jpg). Also nonskipable intros are horrible. It's one of the most lame games I saw recently and it's only a proof that advertising can do miracles. It's totaly random, the multiplayer game is rubbish - nothing that you could call "cooperation". > > AND THAT DUCKING ROBOT AND THAT SCREWED UP GUARDIAN ANGEL! CAN'T STAND THOSE BITCHEZ. Dayum, Polish bitches got some bark to add to the bite they don't has. Anyway teh Graphics are all handrawn, I liked the old ones better, but the dumbasses changed it at the last second and through out all the old ones. The game does repeat alot, i got bored fast. And what advertising? I haven't seen a single commerical for it, and only like 5 people I know have or have heard of it.
  11. @slym: > This is retarded. If you don't think its a good idea, then fine. I won't contribute to this. Just common sense, no point in making something if everything is against it. And yes I did make a tileset from nothing that is for free. You can find it in the resource section. The tiles are shit but they are a hell lot better than most of these. Those tiles are great, much better than the ones you are making now! A while ago I was going to use them but then I switched to side scroller.
  12. @Zetasis: > Yeah that boss was a Female Dog. The easiest way to beat him is to blow up all the little missile launching things on the side of the wall with your own missiles. There are about four of them if I remember right. Then let the boss guy catch you with his sticky web thing he spits out and once he has you select your grappling beam and shot the blown up missile launchers. This will electrocute you and the boss guy but he will die alot faster then you. This in total only takes about 5 mins and your done and can get the screw attack! > > Man I love that game! I knew that! I figured that out on my own by screwing around…I thought that was the only way...
  13. @Kreator: > If your going to nitpick, you'd find that everything is similar to something. In a world where theres such vast amounts of content, it's hard to find something truly original. I was thinking the same thing when I read that post… A lot of people always say how nothing is original, like me, and it's true :C
  14. @[SB: > Azure link=topic=35513.msg573288#msg573288 date=1257933057] > On a lighter note, I agree, I don't see myself using these tiles, but to me they are far better than rmxp tiles. I'd use em instead of RPGmaker. But I'm probably using ghost's.
  15. @Mr.: > The rare, but creepy, pedomom: > ![](http://failblog.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/epic-fail-mom-fail.jpg) Yes, i've stumbled on that one like 40 times now. I wish i was a huge nerd.
  16. Yep, it gets that way. I'm the most hated on Eclipse I'm pretty sure. Doesn't matter, people don't change.
  17. @Anna: > What games? I can't remember all of em, but I got Golf, Defender, Space Invaders…and...ugh I cant remember i'll try to look it up.
  18. @slym: > Hippoman, I hate to be a downer, but these tiles look terrible at the moment. Some are great tiles, but this tileset is a mixture of skills. From a proffesional point of view this is just a bunch of tiles from artists of various skill levels thrown together with no transition. At the moment, I don't know how many people would but I certainly would not use these in any of my productions. I am not trying to dis the graphic artists who did this. I am saying that it contains simply good and bad tiles. And it will look bad mixed together no matter what you say to argue. We don't need a professional view, we want it to be ours. We want it to be our own, not yours. Not one persons. As ballie said, It limits the art work. Ruins it. Not the same. You don't take an Atari and fix all the problems with it. You don't take Daggerfall and fix all the bugs, The bugs made it amazing. That's what 80% of the people I know love so much about it. And by people I know I mean just about anyone whose ever played. @Ballie: > Dammit. Another essay of a post that won't accomplish anything. XD haha, So true.
  19. @[URFAG: > [USUCK]Kusy !@X@! link=topic=53856.msg573013#msg573013 date=1257864725] > Hippoman - if you really find this site amazing you must be seriously troubled kid with total lack of social life and no sense of humour. Jesus. It's the humor that makes me find it humorous. Obviously I like it because it's a joke and that makes it funny. @Thorn: > I didn't say stay on the road. But then…theres 2 houses in teh way, and a cat-tail field...then a pond, then a school, highway, townhouses....
  20. Won one for 49 total dollars, shipping and all. Came with 17 games, all original manuals and such, Cords, 3 joysticks, paddles too. Anyone else own one?
  21. @Thorn: > Get out. > Turn off your computer. > Go out of your house. > Turn left, and walk until dawn. Left of my house is a cul-de-sac
  22. He stole them. From kite's friend. Here: http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,50351.msg525339.html#msg525339
