For the trees, I suggest you remove the leaves behind the bark because that messes up the perspective. It looks like people are standing below the tree and looking up when everything else is from a top-down perspective.

2.14.14 I updated the trees. I think it's a lot better  Been working on another sidescroller mockup. This one is more detailed compared to my previous one. Background doesn't really match, so I will do another one later.
