It probably should have such a check but it's simple enough for people to add it in themselves.
-
Or just give the player creation system a system of layers with the ability to add and delete layers, assign textures to layers and re-order the layers which would affect in which order they would be rendered, thereby providing the users a simple but dynamic player creation system which allows them to choose how many layers of customisation they want. So if a user wants a layer for socks then they can have one.

If you know of his previous works then you would know and from what I have seen, NON of this is original, as in it isn't his work but rather a collection of other people's work wrapped together. Now I could be wrong but history would suggest "Same old Thomas.". -
> @[member="Zesh"] Are yous till working on your Pokemon game?
Not currently. If I get around to completing the engine I want to build then I'll start working on it again. -
You can catch me on after 7 PM GMT usually so if you see me in the shoutbox just ask or just PM me. I've helped many people over the years and even taught a couple of them.

> So you want to have a day tileset and a night tileset and at night it just loads the night tileset?
What he wants is clearly explained in the first post. I mean c'mon. Its not that hard to understand that no current day/night system that has been released is a match for his requirements nor is it beneficial to modify any existing system when writing your own would be better. -
Thanks for the approval and vouch.
> Nice of you to offer free services. My request , which probably wont happen, release your pokemon engine lmao. For real though, if I need anything I'll be sure to ask.
I won't release my Pokemon engine :P

Specify your engine. I've added this to the first post. So please, when making a request, specify the engine you're using. -

>! Yes! I'm lolbored + sick + in a state of "I'm not sure about what I'm going to do and will this illness go away already!". Also I had this idea in the depths of night and … make of that what you will.
>! Very simple. Put in a request for a **small** feature for an Eclipse VB6 engine and I'll see if I want to take on such a request. I reserve the right to dismiss any and all requests. Also, I haven't taken a look at EO4 but from what I've heard I'm not going to be touching that mess so **no EO4** requests.
>! Please **specify** the engine you are using.
>! Generally, I've done work for individuals so requests can be just for yourself and your game but I do reserve all rights to any code I produce and if I think that others may benefit from a feature I may choose to release that features publicly but that probably won't happen.

>! And so many more samples which I cannot find on this machine. They're on my other machine which doesn't work but I've done quite a bit of work for a number of members on this site before and some who I imagine will be willing to vouch for me if that is needed which it shouldn't be since Pokemon + Mail System = Awesome Programmer
>! Go ahead. Throw your sardines at me
The above still stands but here we go again:
Specify the engine you are using.
**Free**: Put in a request for a **small** feature.
**Paid**: Put in a request for a feature(s) of any size.
The more details you can provide the better.
I reserve the right to dismiss any and all requests.
I reserve all rights to my code and can do with it what I please. You may **not** share or release my code to anyone.
I have not yet done work for one person and then shared that work with anyone else. **But** if someone makes a similiar request, I may re-purpose the code I wrote for you, for them.
Work will be completed, the proof will be provided and then you will provide the money. Payment will be made through PayPal. Note I deal in **£ GBP**.
Skype is the easiest way to communicate with me.
Make a request here in this topic or PM me. Thank you. -
Sexy! If I have time I'll bring my haxorz skills to the party ^_^

Have you taken into consideration that the coords start at (0,0)? So if you want 31x21 map you should use the numbers 30 and 20.

If you don't understand the problem then please don't try and provide bad help.
**@jaekx**
The problem is with **MSCOMCTL.OCX**. Information about your OS would help. 64 bit? IE 10 installed? -
Card game. It's a little different than your typical RPG.

What are the rules for a duel? -
Dude, I'm working on a card game. Gotta love it when someone else is working on a similar project :P
Digging the retro graphics. Good luck. -
Count me in.
-
Now that is awesome. I love the imagery that it invokes within my mind and to think that, that was what you were going through makes it even better. As a rapper once put it:
"Whatever your art, express your heartache." -
Any FPS drop with the night system?

> My story is very similar to Colonello's. My dad got a WIndows XP computer which at the time was super high tech. It had like 1GB of ram. As crap as that computer was I miss it ;(
I still have my first computer. Windows XP with 250 MB of RAM. Although at one point I got an upgrade to 750 MB of RAM :P -
> Looks good Rob. However, best of luck finding mappers for those graphics since I know from first hand experience they're a complete * to map with.

Soon enough you'll find out about the story and concept. A little to early to give that stuff away. -
> I hope to see you actually get somewhere with this project, this time around :P.
I got pretty far last time round. A full blown turn-based battle system plus many of the other Pokemon systems. It was just the lack of content plus how much content I had to create plus spending a few years on it basically sucked me dry and that led to its downfall :P
The ideas I have now seem more fresh and appealing after all that :) -
Just doing some thinking. Taking some old ideas and mixing them with new ones. Feedback would be great.

>! A Pokemon game with an open, interesting and interactive world that will allow for new gameplay mechanics and provide the player with a fresh but familiar experience.
>!
>! The world will feature multiple regions, all of which will have been expanded to provide the player with new and interesting content.
>! The world will be far more interactive than the standard games and will be brought to life with features such as the player being able to see Pokemon roam the wild. Some Pokemon like Abra will flee immediately after seeing the player whilst Pokemon like Rhydon may charge the player.
>! With a player's Pokemon being able to follow behind a player, the standard battle screen will be done away with and instead a battle will take place in the environment itself. This will make watching a battle far more exciting than the standard battle screen and will add a new layer of strategy to battling with a player's Pokemon being able to take advantage of the terrain.
>! Aside from the new battle system brought a long with an interactive environment, the ability to just watch a Pidgey sitting on top of a roof and then taking off will just add a new depth to the world, a depth that hasn't been seen before.
>! Another thing that will be done away with, will be Hidden Machines. Instead of a HM taking up a valuable move slot, a Pokemon will be able to use its natural abilities to affect the environment. For example, inside of a pitch black cave, an Electric type Pokemon could be used to provide light so the player can see. Such abilities will first have to be trained before use.
>! The above mechanics a long with others should provide the player with a Pokemon game experience like no other. -
**Last post in 2012?! What?!**
I started working on a game that I currently call 'Dragon' but I've been sooo busy that I've haven't really had any time to sit down and do some programming on it. Just looking through my folders today and I saw this and I decided to start up the game and check out this thread. Wow, the smile on my face is massive :P
Not sure if I posted these screenshots before or not and I'm not sure what I'm actually doing right now too busy with real life *sigh* But I just wanted to post these:
