  1. Ok. Man this is going to be hard to figure out. There goes Robin's post in EO saying its pretty much copy and paste the scripts.
  2. I know EO has no scripting languge. But they must of gone some where. Unless the entire system/source was re-worked and got rid of the subs that where in the scripts.
  3. Since I'm checking out EO and going to try to convert the scripts I have added to ES to EO, I figured I'd ask for some help on where some things went, instead of in the EO thread. (Look Im smart lol) So compared to ES how they had all those subs in the scripts, where would one find the following. Main.ess/Main.txt Sub PlayerPrompt Sub OnNPCDeath scripted NPCs Also where would i go about making new functions, like this script here does, http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,28174.0.html Unless these are already coded in. I would like these functions just not were to put them.
  4. Thats great to know. Then i guess its time to sit down and look into where all the things are that went from scripts into just the pure ownage EO. So i know where to put the things that had a specific script it went into. Shouldn't be hard as long as everything is commented in the source. I agree damian, scripts are a tad easier for your able to reload the scripts and everything works. You have to push out updates with the source code being edited. Which is fine. I'll just make my updater work in the back round and haave it update the files as the players play unless the exe needs to be replaced.
  5. I never new sadscript was that close to vb6\. Thats really good know. I might end up switching to EO. I like the features a lot more than ES.
  6. Since there is no scripting language in EO (not a great vb6 programmer to add one in), how would you suggest a team go about building and editing the source? Once person compiles and everyone just submit code to them to add into the source or is there a better way?
  7. Windows 7 retails for about 150 and up depending on the version you want. Unless it went down since the last time i looked at it.
  8. Well this has been resovled. it was a port issue. if 4000 does not work for you guys try 2656 or 2658 or 2657\. they work for me where as 4000 did not.
  9. ok well hit me up on aim or msn when your around and we will get this problem fixed for you. aim: kir royale 9584 msn - [email protected] lol you didn't have to change your settingsā€¦ just because 127.0.0.1 wouldn't work. It would've been the other ip your buddy set in there. If not then I'd have to go through your entire eclipse setup.
  10. @Ballie: > You have to use 127.0.0.1 as the IP to connect to your own server. Thats not true. I use nonamerpg.servegame.com for my ip on my local machine and it works just fine. Well without actually seeing what you have done, I'm at lost. Only other suggestion is to download team viewer and let some one remote in and set it up for you.
  11. What are your ip settings in your client? Are you sure they are correct?
  12. Try a different port. Also make sure you have forwarded the port through your router and have unblocked the server from windows firewall. By default vista blocks all incoming connections. :'( I know its a pain. Just because the site says your isp is blocking the port does not mean it won't work. Here is what my port says: > Error: I could not see your service on My External IP on port (2656) > Reason: Connection refused And yet I'm able to connect to it along with my mapper who is about 100 or more miles away from the server is.

  16. Alright, thanks for the info. Also Is it possible to have cut scenes for quests and like when you first create a character.? Again would that be source? If so I guess its time to learn some vb. vb.net really wouldnt help me.
  17. It's been a long time since I've even checked out this engine. The stable release is pretty nice. My questions are the following. Since most of the scripts I've seen are posted back in 07 or sooner, Will they work with the stable release? How customized can the game became with the sadscript? Also if its not possible with sadscript would it be possible in the source code.
  18. Im new to the community and hoping and i get. so far ive figured out how to fix everything i had to worry about. Now when i try to map ill click on a square and it will show up some place other than that square. (see picture) The red circle/arrow is where i clicked. where the patch of grass shows up is where it showed up. Ive tried all downloadable releaseses TE EE 1 and this picture is of EE2.5. Please help Couldnt find anything when i searched.
  19. What version of vb do i need to get to edit the source. Only thing i can find is that vb 2005 wont work which i usually use. i have 2003 but it says sumthing about updating when i open the vbp. Thanks for the help.
  20. Does any one know of any resources or have some made? I've searched for about two hours on multiple rpgmaker xp sites and searching google. With no luck. THanks for the help.
