I would just take out the blood (or set it to overlay or vivid light at a low opacity) and put a really low opacity drop shadow on the land. There are blood splatters because of the genre of my game. The 'drop shadow' is actually the coastline, which I haven't finished yet, and the layer style of the blood is already said to vivid light. And to all, I did say it was W.I.P ;)

I doubt it would take hours, unless the blood was really bad at clotting. I am glad some of you like it, it took too long for this kind of result. The blood, is kind of supposed to look fresh, but I think in the final map it will be dried and crinkly dark. Thanks for all the feedback.

So yeah… I got my mark back, and I got 26/27 which is an A*. I beat lots of people from the top set, and I am very proud. Remember that the bit I posted on here wasn't the whole thing, though.

I heard CXL is really crap. People have said that there isn't a lot of customisation in comparison to what you would consider the game to have… If that makes any sense? It does look quite alright though, and I signed up for beta but couldn't be a**ed to down load it xD

currentversion.txt automatically updates itself whether one of the patched files or not. I ran a few tests with it and it does update when the auto-updater finishes :)

I said at the beginning of this post this is nowhere near the whole story… The didn't give me a page count, just said between 1000-1500 words, and I got within that so I was happy :P When I wrote it up by hand (all of it) it was 4.5 pages long... I don't know why nobody likes this :S I thought it to be quite alright.
