Just south of Haleshire is the dreaded Woodlands. I tried to dampen the color a little bit to make it seem like a more depressing place, and avoided using any bright flowers or shrubs. Lemme know whatcha think! Btw, the terrible transition from dark grass to green grass is a map change, so it isnt noticed at all in game. Please criticize! Apologies for uploading this with total neglect for the outside. The outside of the city is now lush with flowers and grass :D And very nice, Ballie, thanks a ton. I'll try and get to all of that. I'm brand new in the arts of city-mapping, and could use all the help I can get! And, yeah, Atrophy, the city is full of NPCs. I mostly put it all together to see where I could fit buildings and stuff. What do you think of the overall size and pathway-plan that it has going?

I was thinking the same thing. New edit is up. Post opinions please. I've got a remote feeling of satisfaction with it, but could still use more help.

Next edit up. I changed the grass part because it doesn't make any sense, then just threw in some other random boxes/barrels. Advice away please.

I don't really think walkways are the issue. I want all of them to be the same color. The city only has 1 major theme in terms of color, anyway. Thanks for the ideas, though :D I'll try and add that in in other places! I'll be sure to add some boxes to the tent-like-thingies, too.

I had it set up so the citizens of Whateverthatcityiscalledsdale could look at the fountain, but I could set it up as bench facing both ways.

I am planning on having the map with NPCs on that top wall, that should make that less bland. I'll also have NPCs thrown thoughout the whole map. But, in my stupid opinion, I wanna have the map look full and lush without the use of NPCs. I want it to look good WITHOUT NPCs, so when the NPCs are put in it looks SEXY. But, to answer your "specific" question, it just looks bland to me. I want more stuff to add in the bottom left section, specifically. Thanks a lot for your input :D

I was looking around here for a good map to steal some inspiration from for a city I'm using. And wow, this is truly spectacular. My jaw literally dropped. Do you know how long it took you to map all of that out(Excluding the sewers + interiors)?
