  1. Pretty cool work! I used to play MUDs when I was a kid for hours. This looks intuitive, I'll be checking this out for sure
  2. Eclipse Forum, We at Joy-Toilet are looking for a pixel artist to create sprite sheets and environment tiles/art for our next release. The desired applicant should be proficient in 64bit style pixel art. Joy-Toilet is not primarily a game development company, instead we act as an aggregate to multiple forms of media. Ideally, the artist should be willing to join our diverse team of individuals as a long term contributor. Unfortunately this is not a paid position initially, as much as we despise revenue-sharing gigs ourselves, the compensation this position offers is 25% of all revenue generated by the product upon release. That being said, this job is best suited for those seeking to build portfolio quickly and/or break into the game industry as a 2D artist. Applicants may email portfolios and contact information to janitor[at]joy-toilet[dot]com. Also, applicants should be 18 years or older since an NDA and contributors agreement is involved. We prefer those with fairly hasty turnaround times since we work feverishly ourselves. You know, synergy and all that stuff. **Hints about the project** - You like goblins? Good, because we need those drawn up. - The project itself will be built on a completed proprietary game engine. - It will be 2-dimensional. Joy-Toilet works in divisions, meaning we may have multiple projects going on at any given time. For quick reference, here is a couple of things our game development end has worked on in the past. 3. Hey Eclipse, basically what I'm looking for is a 2D artist/web designer to design what is to be a homepage because at this point I have zero time to do it. Guidelines are simple: - Think minimalist, draw whatever comes to mind when you think of "Joy-Toilet" (semi-tastefully) - Center that image on a baby blue background - Hand write "Contact us" in whatever way you want - center that on the page. And that's about it. This is probably better suited for folks with their own site or folks that have something to promote because all I can offer in compensation is about $50 in ad (yahoo/Bing) credits. And you've got a friend in me. Thanks, contact info[at]joy-toilet[dot]com if you're up for it.
  4. As serious as I can be with a game named Doop and a site slogan like "Anything but shitty entertainment" haha
  5. [![](http://talk.joy-toilet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Doop-banner.png)](http://www.joy-toilet.com/node/8) After some time of handling every aspect of development so far in my current project, marketing/promotional materials and licensing I am looking for a (c++,c#,java) programmer to step in and handle the technical side of the design process. [Doop](http://www.gamedev.net/topic/637017-doop-my-mom-breathes-fire/) is an upcoming title with a projected 4 month development cycle that started in early December of 2012 by me and several people who I've worked with in the past. Before that I worked for several companies and indie developers as a marketing consultant which eventually led up to me concepting [Joy-Toilet](http://www.joy-toilet.com). I am specifically looking for someone who has a lot of time and drive. If you are interested please feel free to query info[at]joy-toilet[dot]com or contact me directly via skype: **chrislejohn** for more information.
  6. [![](http://talk.joy-toilet.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/joyTalk.jpg)](http://talk.joy-toilet.com) joyTalk is currently looking to fill four slots on our roster this month. The site is proudly ad free but this in turn makes it impossible for us to pay our authors on a basis we would prefer. We are looking for bright individuals with a knack for humor and a DIY attitude when it comes to real life situations. joyTalk is a branch-off of the recently founded software development focused Joy-Toilet. Ideal applicants would have a proficient understanding of WordPress and basic HTML however this position is not exclusive to experienced writers only. Writing for joyTalk is a great opportunity for anyone hoping to take their first step into freelance journalism. We are not looking for lengthy articles, just ones filled with personality and humor between 500-300 words. The main idea here is to give a voice to funny and creative people so don't worry about not-qualifying. In your query please include: *A primary email address. *The word “Applicant” in the subject line followed by your name. *A personal introduction, and your resume/CV (if any) pasted in the body of your email. *Because of the nature of pending site content we would prefer those interested be ages **17+**. 7. People actually do tend to need some form of high moderation beyond just community management, especially in indie projects because of the low success rate. During my run in the industry, a person is just as likely to rise to an entry level management position from lower down the ladder as the company is to simply hire some type of administrator or "manager" to get the job done early. It all depends on project scale, that I can assure you.
  8. Been busy with my own projects, I decided against larger teams unless the game is in its late stages of development.
  9. Erwin I want to thank you for the feedback, I'll send you a message later on today.
  10. This offer still stands for nearly-completed or active W.I.P projects.
  11. Services still available for established indie projects

Something about myself (interests, motivators etc) I enjoy freelance story writing and spoken word poetry. Game design has always been a passion for me but my skills derive from my ability to communicate creatively. Creative writing sample: Screamcatchers. Above eden at dawn before the mirrors shout bids that auction away hourglass grains of day Summon the night, call upon the dreamers to witness an execution of nightmares. “Awake, children of stars” and put out your torches, sleep easy among wolves or not at all. -Published by the Eunoia Review Due to pending releases and recent contract agreements I cannot disclose in full detail any complete work until further notice. Note: Feel free to inquire for story samples Email address: [email protected]
