  1. No, I have not changed anything in the source UPDATE : I cleaned out my internets temporary files, ran scans with Norton Antivirus 360 ( no viruses found) , which also had options to fix registry entries , etc….I did all that Then of course re booted computer, and then Post Nuke woked fine! Problem solved! The cause is still unknown, but fix is to do want I did above ( cleaned out my internets temporary files, ran scans with Norton Antivirus 360 ( no viruses found) , which also had options to fix registry entries , etc….I did all that, then re booted computer)
  2. A day or so ago Post Nuke crashed. It said something like, script out of range….I restarted the server and thought nothing of it, figuring it was just some stray bug or mapping error someone had made. But then I realized, NO ONE can log onto Post Nuke! Not even me! Server is running fine, PORT is same, and No-Ip service is set up right. And also, my other game I host, City of the Dead, is working fine, or at least I can log in. Here is the message everybody gets when they try to log into Post Nuke.... [![](http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/3603/youhavelostyourconnecti.jpg)](http://img258.imageshack.us/i/youhavelostyourconnecti.jpg/) Can anyone solve this please?
  3. @Ⓐⓓⓜⓘⓡⓐⓛ: > Hmm… I always just use this one: > ![](http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h46/haydenl90/Bank-1.jpg) > > But yea, it's just that the buttons in vb6 are 1x1 px, so you just need to go in vb6 and re-size them; it only takes afew seconds ;) PM me and tell me exactly how to do that, I searched the Client and Server and couldnt gewt into VB6
  4. I am presently making a game in EE 2.7 and went to use the bank and iscovered a difficult thing… Unless I hit the Deposit and Withdraw buttons in one specific spot they won't work! So I made a special Bank GUI with a white box in that one spot, and it works fairly well. Here it is, it is a quick solution to this banking problem in EE 2.7 perhaps others have noticed it.... Weapons

Dude take a look at my Tutorial on Items/Paperdoll Here is a link, especially look near the bottom at the part on paperdolling (making weapons so that when you wear them, they appear on your guy in the game) [http://eclipsegames.esmartdesign.com/items.htm](http://eclipsegames.esmartdesign.com/items.htm)
  6. Heres an excerpt from my Tutorial site….. > Hosting Info > > Once you’ve downloaded the Client/Server and gotten a few maps made, here are some things you ought to know about hosting your game. > > Cable Modem – this is like 300 times faster than dial up and is far better when you host your game. The IP number might change a few times a year due to power interruptions, hurricanes, etc…so keep an eye on your IP number. I got Cable Modem ( Bright House Cable) and it costs me $45 dollars a month, which is worth it because my family can use the phone when I’m online, and my browsing and download is way faster. I personally spoke with a Bright House representative and she told me its ok to host a game using their Cable Modem service on my comp, and there’s no bandwidth limit. Also I can now confirm that there was no “surcharge” on my bill for hosting. > > IP Address – this is a number which always must be correct for people to log onto your game. Think of it as your computers “phone number” that other computers have to call to communicate with your computer! The Player (and yourself) must have this number put into the “IP Config” in order to be able to log onto it. A good way to find out what your IP Number is , is to go to................ IP Chicken > > It is also possible to use a service to adjust your games Client every time your IP changes so that people never have to manually change the IP Address, for detailed info see the page on “Extra Files/Add Ons” under “No IP service” > > PORT – This is located within your computer, it designates the exact route that incoming players will be using to get into your game that your hosting. I have heard that there are thousands of “Ports” available to choose from. However, I myself have successfully used the following Ports - 7234, 4000, 4001, 4040, 4060. This Port number in placed in the proper box in your IP Config setting of your Client. It becomes especially important when you are “hosting” more than one game, because you will want to use different “Ports” for each different game. > > RAM – your computers Memory is important in making a game that won’t lag. My original RAM (Random Access Memory) was 356 MB and it lagged when “Saving All Players” I checked out my memory usage when this happened and noticed that the memory was maxed out at 100%. So its best to have a comp (or get your comp upgraded) to 1 Gigabyte RAM, 2 Gigabyte RAM if possible > > Promoting your Game – Once your all set with everything here is what you can do to get people to play it. Firstly email your Gaming Friends and send them a link to it, or your Games website. Secondly post a link on Eclipse Forums to let others know you have a game. Thirdly use a gaming website that advertises Free Games. Here are a few…………….. > > MMORPG ONLINE 100 chart > > MMORPG & MPOG top 100 - Results: 100 MMORPG, Multiplayer, Online, Gaming, communities, free server > > MMORPG Nation > > Client Distribution Overview– This is the other “half” of your game. You host the game by running your server, other people will “download” the Client then run it ( having the correct IP Address in it) and “log onto” and play your game. The way to make a game and then distribute it to people can be described in these steps.......... > > 1. Run your Server, then Run your Client > > 2. Make yourself the Admin, > > 3. Make a number of maps, monsters, and items so as to make the game interesting. > > 4. Zip your Client so as to make it smaller and easier to upload/download > > 5. Upload it to an “Upload/Download” service so that it will be possible for people to download it > > 6. Email/Post/or Advertise the web address so that people know the place to download the game Client > > Client Distribution (detailed info) – here are some detailed instructions about this game making, Client Uploading, Game hosting idea that make help you to get it done.... > > 1. Go to IP Chicken and gets your IP Address > > 2. Opens up your Client and go to IP Config, puts in the number that IP Chicken says is your IP number > > 3. When your game is ready for people to play, you’re going to have to do one real quick step. You need to go to the settings.ini file in your Client folder, and find the lines that say:LastAccount=LastPassword=And make sure they are blank. You don’t want everyone to be able to login to your account and destroy all the maps! > > 4. Then right click on the Client and "Zip" the Client file and posts the zipped Client file on a Web site, or a service like Mega Upload or Tripod so people can download the file) He also must post this link or email it to some ppl, or post it on a Forum. > > 5. Preferred place to Upload your Client for others to Download from is Your own Personal Website!! > > 6. But if you can’t afford one here are my recommendations for a place to make your games Client available for download................. > > Putfile > > Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire > > MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
  7. > In my items.bmp it has a long list of paper-doll stuff and right at the end it has my non paper-doll stuff, but i cant get that far down when i try to make an item… do i have to delete some paper-doll item slots and move them up? I ran into a problem like that with EE 2.7 I have a huge Items sheet ( size 385 X 15008 ) I was using for EE 1.0, and when I made some items on EE 2.7 with pictures from the bottom of the sheet , then I was NOT able to edit those items afterward, and when I tried to the game client would crash ( error 280) SOLUTION : I copied the needed items pictures and put them near the top of the (non paperdolled) items. THEN I made the whole items sheet shorter….(new size 385 X 10241) It works fine now

    Class Block

I have a Tutorial website and usually try to answer questions about Eclipse with some success. But I have been trying to solve one particular question posed to me without sucess. The senders main language is Spanish. Here is the question that was messaged to me, does anyone have a good answer for this problem…. > You have just been sent a personal message by HammeR on Eclipse. > > IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email. > > The message they sent you was: > > mmm how i can explain… i put a class block atribute and remobe the block > i create a class called master. master class are the gms and can walk over all the map. normal players cant not. but npcs walk over the cb atributes like a gms :S > > men 2 or more sounds at same time is posible?

    Sprite help!

@Kreator: > Although his diagram was hypocritical. Anybody else notice that since he uploaded it in JPG, that the black color was ruined, and therefore, if used it would still have the same issue? The black throughout the background is minutely different shades. Oh my gosh I didnt notice it! Yes of course the graphics sheets for ALL the files in your GFX filder must be bmp files. If you convert it to jpg it completely messes it up with off black splotches everywhere, so… keep it bmp (Good catch Kreator)

    Sprite help!

Excellent answer Riddler! I would only add one thing, that is make sure there are no "off black" (almost black) areas on your sprites sheet, because these will show up as annoying spots, or lines in your game. I sometimes check an area of my sprites sheets by blocking it off and turning it red, or purple, or some weird color, just to make sure that the WHOLE area is completely black. The "un black" areas will be sharply contrasted this way. If its OK, I simply "undo" it, if its not ok, I simply undo and take further action, being careful not to damage my sprites in the process. Sometimes it is simply a "line" of slightly off black where I pasted a custom sprite. Other times it is a series of "spots" that are near the sprites, I simply make sure to "erase" these by painting over them with pure 100% black ( my transparent color)
  11. I was looking at the Eclipse website and I went to the Sprites page and noticed Marsh had posted a link to MegaUpload for my tiles set "Big Sprites with Dragons". I went ahead and tried to download it just to take a look at it, and I couldnt do it! It said "Estimated time 5 hours!" So…..I went ahead and zipped the file and put it on "Media Fire" instead, which tends to be MUCH faster, here is the link it took me like 5 sedconds to download it with Cable modem..... [http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?wjm5tyglgzz](http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?wjm5tyglgzz) Also could someone plz let me know how this download and these Sprites work, I wanna make sure it works for people
  12. Cut the guy some slack! Main thiung is he got his game running good! Congrats on that dude, GAME ON!
  13. I noticed that the required exp for level 22 was higher that the required exp for level 23! 22=45982139 23=14295118 May I suggest you make the exp a graduated number working its way UP Suggestion….look at the previous numbers and the numbers after and see how much the req exp increases for each level....example...... 20=11295118 21=12295118 22=45982139 23=14295118 24=15295118 25=16295118 Do you see the above pattern? How that each level increases 1000000 However level 22 is out of whack in the sequence and should be adjusted to …... 20=11295118 21=12295118 22=13295118 23=14295118 24=15295118 25=16295118 Understand? Ok let me know if that helps….
  14. Hello just to add additional help with RTE 429, heres a little snippet from my upcoming Tutorial for EE 2.7…....... 11) I immediately got "Run Time Error 429 – Active X Component can’t create object". I solved this RTE 429 by……..going into the Client Folder and then the Data folder, and there were about 16 files there…mostly OCX files, I right clicked on them and registered them all. > Quote from: Mellowz on June 16, 2008, 10:42:40 PM > > REGISTER YOUR DLL/OCX FILES IN THE CLIENT DATA FOLDER! 12) Then my Server loaded right up. (NOTE : I have gotten info that sometimes an additional thing is needed to solve RTE 429……..”All I did was download (Godlords) Eclipse Library Files [http://files.filefront.com/ELI2RC4exe/;12161088;/fileinfo.html](http://files.filefront.com/ELI2RC4exe/;12161088;/fileinfo.html) and run it and then I ran the ELI2RC3HF4 file, then when I tried running server it worked…..Creds to Legend 1234)

    Money in the game

The only thing I could tell you is to follow the steps I listed above. I think maybe you missded one of the steps? If not then Id have to get onto your game and take a look…. hmmm......but try rechecking first that you've done all the steps. PS What is your main language? I think there might be a bit of communication problem here
