  2. I think Shadowrun fits those same aspects and to a better and more entertaining degree. Well, it did. Unfortunatley its no longer hosted
  3. Found this forum [http://eclipsenexus.forumakers.com/f2-official-downloads](http://eclipsenexus.forumakers.com/f2-official-downloads) Dont know if it has been found and brought up yet. But its funny. I didnt DL and didnt look at the engine, however on the link to the forum I link right there, it has the "Eclipse Orgins" runtime installer, which he created so we can use his unique and awesome engine. Ahh google, you bring me lulz

    My map :3

I like the second map. Looks like an overgrown field. Doesnt look crowded and unorganized imo. Always room for improvment but it looks fine
  5. I guess it doesn't help I don't wear hats. Maybe thats my problem
  6. Back when I smoked, on 4/20 me and my friends would always have the "Stoner Olympics". Basically we went out in a feild near my house and did a bunch of random mini games, like "who could throw a tire the farthest" and "hackysack baseball"(awesome game we invented) until everyone wanted a break to smoke some more pot, at which point we never ended up coming back out. Usually went to video games and munchies. Happened for several years. Good times.
  7. pm sent. Also I forgot to mention I dont have any examples anymore of my mapping, however I consider myself a skilled mapper, and that you are willing to take new/amatuer mappers makes me more then confident in my ability to contribute.
  8. I hate to be the douche bag here, but basically your trying to recruit people better then you so you can say your organization, and I hate to use the term, has talent? You yourself have a very limited skillset You have no actual projects completed, nearly completed, or well under way yet You have no one else but you…. I understand your extreme enthusiasm, but my advice is to tone it down. Drop the illusion of greatness for now, and focus on the basics. Improve your own talents and build yourself a "resume" of sorts. Your shooting for a target far far downfield, when you cant even notch the arrow yet. Dream big, but take steps to get there, you cant get there in one step. Just my two (s)cents
  9. Offtopic a tiny bit, I agree Anna. Big reason I disliked Starcraft online, even though its my near favorite rts, the rushing culture ruined vs for me. I like to go all out, get deep in my tech tree, and field massive armies. Much more fun, and really the point of RTS's before ultra competative douches, and koreans, ruined the genre for me
  10. There are some religions that can try to help with that, but his being a douche is uncurable :/
  11. Whats the appeal, from your perspective? I must be missing something, I just didnt think it was anything special

  13. No, even on my prior and better computer it sucked. Just took forever to load stuff. Its an uneccesary program, I'd rather just have the game. Why jump through all the hoops.
  14. Bunch of flyers around town today, the kony 2012 paper the night thing or whatever. A little suprising considering my town is rather small
  15. For me it loads slow, is laggy, ect. On a better comp I used to own it also ran like shat, I just hate having to use one program just to get into a game I want to play. I dislike launchers.
  16. I actually tried this game out not too long ago, and I couldnt understand what the huge appeal was. I thought it was a bit standard and boring personally. I just couldnt get into it. I also hate using steam.

    Halo 4

I disagree a bit. You could take incredible amounts of damage (main reason I have grown to dislike Halo MP), jump like a super human already, single handedly flip warthogs, throw gernades for miles.. I dont think they can effectivley change the feeling in this regard. Jumping higher would end up being more of a pain, not useful. There is no real oppertunity or POINT to adding any sort of strength scenerio's, at least as far as MP is concerned, and in SP it will feel scripted and not natural. I dont see how they can tweak that aspect in a way that wont be just a waste of time and possibly an annoyance. The story addition to MP is silly I think. Red spartans fight blue spartans because you need to shoot other players in MP. There is no reason to need a reason to fight the other player. The story is the core of Halo, one of the few FPS with a core story, however I believe it got a bit convoluted as time wore on. After the first Halo, that feeling of awe dissapeared, then it went to a great game, got good, went not bad, ect.. Probably partially because the type of gameplay has become so standard in shooters, its the mold now, but partially because the first story was epic, and became watered down as they tried to get to much out of it, and IMO strayed to far from the actual Halo's and the covenent's group, while watering down the flood and making them just a basic addition to the game.
  18. I stopped playing shooters for the story long ago, save for Gears of War, I liked that story. Only a multiplayer FPS player. I just have no interest in general realistic war based scenerio's. The early call of duty franchise wore me out on that. However, I'm curious your thoughts on how to "spice up" the genre? Because really, an FPS for the most part ISNT about affecting the narrative. The narrative is the point. The point of the genre is shooting things while following the story. Its more a skill type game then a story type. It just helps to have an objective when your shooting npc's. But most FPS story's in the bigger franchises are not bad at making you care what happens, even if its a predetirmined outcome. Its more an interactive tom clancy novel then a sandboxish scenerio. As far as multiplayer, you really CANT tweak it much, outside of game modes. Multiplayer shooters are a skill based competition for the most part, you dont WANT gameplay mechanics being all screwy. You just want to go out there and prove your bette rthen your opponents, its a competative thing. The FPS with the most stray in play format I can recall was Shadowrun, which had al kinds of crazy abilities and magic thrown in. Awesome game I'm sad they stopped running the server for. But even that stuff was soley focused around a competition of skill. I think the genre is fine and its core premise is still intact. I dont think it should be messed with too much I personally prefer Battlefield 3, as it gives more of a realistic war feeling to the battlefield as opposed to shooting fox's in a small coral (in mp)
