  1. Hmmm, seems to be a very little amount of posting going on in here. Its like everyone's hiding in the dark on this one… Not even a bunch of people complaining on how the graphics could be better. . . . Interesting. . . .

Whats everyone out there thinking? **Feedback, personal opinions, critiques** or whatever else you have in your mind are welcome. I updated this topic with some screen shots that were not up before hand.

The game gui is getting close to being 100% functional, the main game play are gui is completed with animated buttons and all. Going to start working on more monsters/npcs to fight. So far we have the bat, the tree ent, the eyedrom citizen and the eydrom guard. More will come. I started punching in quests today, got two started(neither are finished) that both revolve around CMFiend420's lore and storys.

I'm working on a temporary website for the game to hold a forums and a knowledge base of information on the game. I don't think this is necessary since not many people are interested. But it will be useful for further down the road.
  2. Thanks for your opinions Snow, updated the first post with the new main menu gui, and a preview of what I have thus far of the in-game gui. Its the defauly layout for standard versions of EO, only with my graphics. This will suit us fine for beta, and eventually we will move everything around and have a unuqie gui. This is not our focus though for now, and please note that image is not complete.
  3. Thanks for your opinions Snow, this is a perfect momment to let you all dicide a small aspect of Lands of Orderias fate! You didnt like that login menu gui, so I made one alternitive version of it and you all can vote! Note the first version of this gui (version #1) is in the first post of this thread for viewing.

  4. Is this his right walking sprite? looks strange if its a forward view. Hes very small, was that the style you were looking for? Its going to be very hard to pd sprites of this stature, unless the minimal detail/old school look is what your intentions are for the entire game.
  5. (Gui for main menu)

    **Basic Information**

This game throws you right into the magical land of Orderia, You start off in Ogre country where the local Ogres started a Small settlement in the woods called Callapar. The ogres believed that Elephants were the gods and worshiped them accordingly. Throughout the Forrest community known as Callapar you will see many statues and tributes to these Elephant gods. Right Now there is 145 items, 40 different magic spells, about 15 different mele skills. I am working on npc's so the land is not so empty. As of now I have farming, woodcutting, and fishing as the main resource skills. There will be any more, I just need to finish drawing the graphics oriented with them. All trees seen on map are chop-able, all fishing areas are fish-able, and all gardens with vegetation are able to be gathered. All equipment will be paperdolled, once I come up with a good base sprite for players.

Additional information can be given upon request, I don't want to disclose to much information to the public because the game is still in development.

If any of you are interested in possibly helping test the game, please leave some sort of contact information below. Also you can go like the newly created facebook page (made today) that will act as a sort of development blog for the game. If you like the f.b page it will be much more easier to contact you.

    **Lets dabble into some Lore!**

A small update on lore as far as the Ancients goes, as well as the currently anonymous "cyclops" tribe:

"Some centuries ago, the humans of Orderia used to roam together, in peace. Located in a some-what large village near a group of civilized yet messy and strictly religous "cyclops", the human race was led by nobody, no monarch, no lord, just a simple courtsey of "don't mess with me, I won't me…ss with you". Over time, years and years passed, of course, sin was common, which was no suprise. Humans became more greedy the more land they got, and the more respected they became socially. People started committing more and more crimes, stealing more and more precious treasures, and murdering more and more of their innocent neighbors. Chaos began to plague the humans village, until 4 elders rose up in power. They attempted to create 4 different districts ruled by the 4 different elders. This just angered the people even more, and eventually all 4 elders were brutally murdered in the mess. Humans began to flee the village, to the outskirts of the "cyclop" villages. Some fled farther than others, and some in different directions. Many fled to a nearby volcano, others took homage near a flourishing ocean, a large cavernous cave held even more humans and "cyclops". A nearby temple that touched the sky was a common habitat for these wandering humans. Each different "cyclops" tribe had its own Chieftan, possibly the only remaining creatures on Orderia to harness the power to cast magic. Humans were fascinated by the power this new magic brought. Determined humans pestered the Chieftans to teach them this magic, and eventually the Chieftans and humans came to a deal. If the Chieftans taught the humans how to use magic, they had to create an eye for the blind "cyclops". The humans quickly accepted the deal, and years and years went by. These people are know today as Ancients and along with the Chieftans, are the only races to harness the power to cast magic. Each Chieftan knew a different strand of magic. The Chieftan of the Volcano tribe taught humans Fire, or "Pyro". Chieftan of the temple tribe taught humans air, or "Anima". The cave humans were taught Earth, or "Terra", and the ocean humans were taught Water, or "Aqua". Magic brought the human race together, in peace and ordance with each other."

Here is a little more on the cyclops tribe that is along Callapar, currently known as "cyclops" or "Ogres":

"The Eyedrom tribes are located all around Callapar, a not-so-large yet vast land. The Eyedrom tribes body are about 6-7 feet in height, and around 225+ pounds, with a socket, yet no eye. Eyedrom tribes contain 4 different chiefs or sub-divisons of the tribe called "Secundas". Secundas contain ...4 different elements, Anima (known as Spirit/Air), Terra (known as Earth) Aqua, (known as water) and Pyro (known as fire). Each element is harnessed by one chief of the Secunda. One Chief named Zorgzugg lives near in the temple of Anima. Another chief named Digdorg roams the caves, teaching Terra. Flamguzz takes peace near a volcano where he harnesses the power of Pyro. Named the ocean of Zembella (by the Eyedrom tribe), the Cheif Zembella rules near the ocean. Eyedroms are not very clean, being so big they tend to be clumsy and leave things around their society and own homes. Though, Eyedrom tribes are extremely religious, cave paintings and idols are not something you won't see everyday. Cave paintings and idols will represent elephants, the supposed God for the Eyedrom tribe. The elephant is the only creature in Oderia that is endangered. It is the only creature who's eye can be enchanted and used to give to the Eyedrom, as an eye. In exchange for puny human service, the Chief's taught the humans how to harness magic in exchange for the mass production of enchanted elephant eyes. The Eyedrom tribe insists that if they worship and believe the elephants are the key to Heaven, then they will be given what they deserve; an eye."

Here is a little update on some side events, a group of pirates and a princess in distress:

"Not far from the volcano of the Pyro Eyedrom tribe, a small cluster of islands sit within the Zembella ocean, named The Cursed Trident, because of the way the ocean was split by the three bodies of land. Scattered with merciless pirates, and equipped with a handful of docks, the island was said to be home ...to a deadly treasure, the Princess Lana of a far away kingdom, Lania. King Dagg the First had name the kingdom after his first born daughter, Lana. Lana grew up spoiled, her father and his kingdom were worth fortunes. Lana grew up, like a normal princess would. She learned how to courtesy in the presence of other people, and to tend to the men of the house. As she grew to around 10 years old, she began to notice a gift that she developed. Things she touched without her silk gloves on began to sparkle and and literally transform the object into its form, but into solid gold. Word got out quickly, when Lana began turning large mud blocks into solid gold blocks. Fairly large loafs of golden bread began littering the kingdoms streets. Lana began abusing her power. The pirates of the Cursed Trident found out quickly, and assembled hastily and rose a plan to attempt to steal the Princess of Lania, and abuse her power for the greed of their own riches. The pirates assembled a fleet of 32 of their finest warships known as "Kydokas". These Kydokas are about 100 ft long, with a mast of about 25 feet up in the air. They are armed with 6 cannons, 3 on starboard, 3 on port. The pirates attacked the kingdom with over 6,000 different troops. They sucessfully raided the kingdom, killed Queen Duka, and kidnapped now 14 year old, Princess Lania. To this day, little word about Lania has been found.."

Theres 2 more posts on our [Facebook Page](http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lands-of-Orderia/561317750546496) about 2 melee classes. Its your most basic melee class, trained by the Azyrian Barbarians and King Bugzoo as well, we now have a versatile and interesting melee class, sacred warriors trained by the Church, God, and the Eydrom tribe. Check it out.
  6. As for the graphics, I think its odd that the water tiles are all detailed, including shadows from the cliffs. Then you move to the dirt and grass tiles and they are one solid color (with low sat). In order for this to look correct in my min, the water would have to be simplified down to a basic color like the rest, or the grass and dirt tiles should get some detail added to them. Then you got your random ground details scattered all over the place, but its only the same three ground details over and over again. If I were you, I add some ground detail varients(more than what you have) and add some detail to the dirt and grass tiles.

  8. Ok ive been steadily working on custom graphics for my eclipse project entitled "Lands Of Orderia". For me to acheive some of the gameplay aspects I was hoping to implement I am going to need a basic programmer to continue my works. Programming simple features such as a friends list, multiple item drops for npcs, additional tools for resources ex.

Callapar, the land of the Deppens, which are a mini Ogre tribe who worship the elaphent gods.

    ![](http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j59/BigNiko188/callapar_zpsa1be706c.png)
