One way to get better sounding bass (besides good samples, and vst) is to add compression to it. In fact, adding compression to the whole mix is usually necessary for techno music, or related. :)

It's constantly different. And the tempo changes quite a lot. infected mushroom do so use loops. theyre just usually so fast, and altered so quickly you dont notice lol.

It actually sounds really great, when done right. I'll give ya those. But it's actually not that common. When someone was saying build up the tempo, im pretty sure they meant build up the part with layers, etc.

I tried following your advice, but I couldn't find it :icon_crap: despite what some idiots here are saying, you never just increase the tempo (also known as speed) of a song half way, three quarters or whatever through a song. but doing fade ins and fade outs of certain loops creates build ups, as well as adding in various drum patterns etc. also, you may want to have relaxed parts to a more speedy song, to create a downtempo at certain points. theres many things you can do. basically a song is like a story that you tell different parts, create a climax, end with a bang.. but heres the thing, noone can make you good at melodies, or how those melodies can mix well with certain beat patterns and other sounds. you just need to keep experimenting, use good sounds, and try to tell a story thats pleasing to the ears. if certain sounds come in too fast it can be too harsh. it needs to flow. anyways, to if you want to know how to do build ups ,etc better, then you need to look into how to do automation clips in FL studio, like a youtube tutorial or something. even if you right click on pretty much any knob in fl studio, you'll notice you can "create automation clip" it will create a bar on the bottom of the main screen that you can lower or raise, and this will automate the knob as the song is playing, to whatever levels you put it at in various parts. this way you can automate the volume control, automate sound fx, etc etc etc… anyways, hope that helps!

  20. Nobody has given you good advice yet. If youre lookin for it, here it is: Have better build ups, use more fade-ins and fade-outs, add more layers of sounds and melodies, and most of all have fun with it. Listen to some of my stuff to see whati mean by "build ups, fade ins etc". you can even slowly add in effects to certain sounds to transform them. the beat i normally use is 4/4 bass drum , with high hi hats on the off-beats, cuz well i like house and techno, im aimin at tech house with future productions. i know youre not using high quality equipment, neither am i, so just listen to what im makin with cheap samples, and vst instruments to get a better idea of building a song with parts, and hooks, low points and high points. :) [http://myspace.com/djcarrier1](http://myspace.com/djcarrier1)

  23. for some reason this is not working, i can see the form, but the npc wont talk. when i try to edit the npc for after the first time, i get run time error 13 "type mismatch error"..
