After reading this I changed my maps to where they can only spawn in the same area's the player can walk or get to. And took out all my NPC spawn points, so far I'm liking it a lot more.

I honestly highly doubt anyone would charge you much to change the source to do what you'd like. If they ask more then 12 USD I would say the are asking too much.

I'm pretty sure if you want to use your external IP, it requires you to do port-forwarding. Don't ask me how to do port forwarding. Port forwarding can be different for many computers/Routers. There is many topics here you can search for that will tell you how to do that. If that is why you were trying to use Hamachi ( to avoid port fowarding,) then….. 1\. Are you ensuring both have the same port number too? 2\. Check and make sure your firewall isn't blocking the server or the folder the server is in. ( Search for terms like "allow a program through windows firewall" on google.) 3\. Make sure his computer's firewall isn't blocking something. Sorry that's the best I can do so far with the info you have provided. Hope I helped.

OMG Shadowwulf! Help me! I was doing everything you said as I was reading it and after the "shift+del" part my game disappeared, and I have no idea where it went! Where does "shift+del" send your files? Is there a web address or something? Just Kidding >.> Okay, thanks for the advice.

Ok so I'll build parts of my game, and then I'll copy the whole file ( that has all of the client and server and everything else in it.) I'll then paste it on to my USB Flash drive and replace the old file. With it being a 200 MB+ file…. It takes a while. Lets pretend that I don't add any more graphics, sound, or music or anything like that. I just make a few maps,NPC's,Items, ect... with all the old data (already on the Back up.) I imagine I don't need to copy all the files over again... In that case which files do I need to back up? If I add some new graphics, music, sounds, or ect......... Do I only need to add those small additions as well as a small amount of other files? Or is backing up every single file just the best way to go?

I love this engine. I think the idea put into this is amazing. I think the thing I saw this shine for the most was a fun PVP game. Thank you so much for the start of something nice and interesting.

Robin. Your work is amazing. Everyone knows you've worked hard on this. I agree, an unfinished project causes more harm then good. There is A LOT of ungrateful brats on here. Finally, no other 2D MMORPG Maker works as bug free as yours. But you seriously have some social problems. This job is now open again. I'd also like to see the following stat changes. Endrance: Adds to your base armor rating at [END * 2] NOT AGI, Adds to your base armour rating at [AGI * 2] I'm guessing armour rating is what you call defense. Intelligence: Adds to your spell damage at [INT / 2] Spells have a critical rate based off of WILL. Criticals for Spells will do 40% damage more then normal. Adds to your base spell critical rate at [WILL / 52.08] First person to finish the job test for bugs, can show me prove of the work done (without any major bugs best type of proof is a video IMO), and added the fixes Robin mentioned above, gets paid 45$ USD If your serious about getting paid you'll do the work, have it tested with prove of work done bug free before PMing me. So far a few people have said they can do it, and it would be easy, but evidence shows otherwise. And guess what? I get paid soon and will want more work done. I wonder who I'll go to first? What do I mean "major bugs?" well I ran into a quest system that displays a number wronger on your progress of a "killing" quest. I.E, it meant 1/4 but would show 1/3 That wouldn't bug me at all…. I ran into a pet system thou, where if you died before your pet and went back to the map you died in, the map you spawned in and the map you went back to would merge graphics and even warps would merge together. Thats a problem… I saw someone has a problem where casting a spell using NPC spells would show the animation in the top left of their screen or something thats a little bit too big a of a problem then I'd like too. If there is a small little bug in it like the first one I mention, I'll live... Those stat changes I requested are not exactly top of my list. Right now, I've waited two days for what everyone says should have been a couple hours of work. So I'm ready to start making my game. Bug free, work done quickly, and proof are important here.

@Robin I'm a loyal person. I've already told this person they would get paid for their services ( should they finish.) I'm giving them until the end of today to finish. If they have not finished by the end of today I'll gladly take you on. As you were the only other person recommended to me by someone else. As for the price, **if they have not finished**, you will get paid as much as I offered them; even thou, you are willing to take less. Consider it a donation.

TianaJRP…..... Really, if I had wanted to talk price on here, I would have done so. But I told everyone to contact me via PM. What I'm willing to pay isn't something I just wanted to throw out there. What if the amount I was willing to pay wasn't enough for the people on here? Then they wouldn't even bother contacting me. When I would be willing to work out a price and talk to them about it. Luckly what I was willing to pay was pretty close to most of the offers I was given. So it isn't such a big deal this time... The person I pay for this will also get future employment from me. I'm currently working with someone on this project. I haven't asked to close this topic because the work has not been finished and I have not paid anyone for it yet.

Thank you very much for the suggestion Robin, there really isn't much more I can say, other then, how can you make sure your work is completed the way you like, before you pay (without causing them much hassle?) I was thinking a youtube video or at at least screenshots…. What do you think?

Aeri, you seemed to read everything I said, expect the part where I said the game is for me and my lady. So Respect from this community ( from my game) doesn't worry me. Telling me to get VB6 is quite pointless, ok? Why didn't Robin give everyone a copy to get it easily? Oh! That's right! Its because that would be illegal. Well let me look at my options then….. #1 I can download the file illegally somewhere.... #2 I can get it from a friend, probably also illegal. #3 I can buy it for around a 100$-400$ USD or so. I'm sorry I don't have that. What I can do is ask for help on here. Find out what I can fix on my own, and what I need VB6 for. Pay someone to fix things that I want fixed( that I can't fix on my own). Since I don't want much, I think it would cost less then 100$ to have someone fix it for me. Ok I'm posting this here because the topic for it doesn't get love any more. So I wanted pets and quests, I'm unable to get VB6\. This looked like the only way. But I'm noticing problems with Starlights. I'm new with Eclipse, but I hope you guys can help. 1# I can't talk to NPCs, I set them as "friendly," and put something for them to say in the "say" box. I tried both Morals ( none and safe zone.) I walk up to them and push CTRL and nothing happens. I did get it to work once then I changed some things and I suddly wasn't able to talk to NPCs. I don't remember what I changed, but it was only something like adding a NPC or something. 2# I don't see the quests I made in the quest log on the gameplay menu. I'll make a quest and save it but it doesn't show up after I save them. But this might be because I can't talk to NPCs in the first place! lol 3# Animations for pets, randomly stop working here and there…. really weird. I really don't know if I can fix any of this myself without VB6, or if its just something silly I'm doing.
