Hey Jaxx, not sure how much you are wanting to continue working on the engine anymore (since it seems this last version would be a great final release) but i have some more input of how to make it better if you are bored or maybe just need more ideas for your own game. This http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,69454.0.html is a kind of old tut on player titles which are giving based on level. Would be cool to use this but make them given by an item instead. Either way dude you have put together the best custom engine on here, much appreciated!!

  3. i dont kno i think i just prefer it more in its own box and not over where the character is walking, but either way i figured out how to edit that part on my own, so its all good
  4. I vote toggleable full screen :) up to you tho boss. Also, am i the only one who doesnt care for the chat on picScreen? i mean yeah its an easy thing to edit out but seems more clutter than good. On a side note, you got a 5 from me too :)
  5. I appologize for necroing this post, but I may have tracked down the windows 7 color scheme issue I have been having recently and this may help others who are dealing with it. It is a simple thing really. You just need to make sure the the picScreen dimensions are accurate. For instance, if you have a 992x512 region (which is what i recently changed mine to test). In modConstants under map constants your x and y values would be those numbers divided by 32 -1 so 30 for X 15 for Y. I totally understand many of you are probly thinking this is a stupid thing to post and should be common knowledge by now, but I am learning just like many are. I have also taken much from this community and if i can help just one person with this, i would be happy :)
  6. Chill dude, just giving Jaxx some ideas for HIS edit. That feature is toggleable so even if its in there it wouldnt effect people that didnt want it.
  7. Gender based item restrictions would be cool, i am pretty sure theres a tutorial on it somewhere :)
  8. Thanks for the new updates, Jaxx, you are head and shoulders above all the other customs and I am much appreciative of the work that you and all the other contributers have done with this. I really hope people don't burn you out with too many requests, though. You deserve a break i'd say! :cheesy:

  10. I am not a coder at all but it seems like the code that is used to heal with consumables works instantly, no delay in the refresh to the health bar. Would it be possibly to somehow use part or all of that coding for the way healing spells are handled? Just a thought.
  11. I agree with Mirabela, instancing would be insain. Altho it may be a pain to code.
  12. Would it be possible to fix the delay in time it takes for heals to show on the health bar? I think it would make combat feel alot better.

Not sure if this is a general bug with the quest system or maybe just my noobness with it, but if i have the "end quest now" box checked, it auto finishes the quest even if i dont have any quest items. If I uncheck it then i cant finished the quest even if i have the items :( any help would be appriciated
  15. loving the new updates man! really appriciate that you are taking the time to do this and also debug it. i have an idea with the resources though, is there any way you could code those to also have the multiple chance drop and percent based as well, just like npc drops? that would be sweet!
