  1. @Anna: > No, you need to cut out half the stuff in your GUI and make it more contextually based. Most of that information is not needed for the player at all times. If you are talking about the Agricultural Planet GUI pics, you do need all that information at all times. Please state what you mean?
  2. @Jungle: > Get rid of those two bars of text above the navigation. I couldn't find the navigation at first. I made a change so you can't miss it :) Maybe you need glasses? :P
  3. @Jungle: > I know you're going for an older website style, but I think the navigation could be worked on a bit. I was overwhelmed with the content immediately. And only about 10% of the planned content is there. The Navigation is pretty simple. You have a series of links at the top of the screen and a link back to the next item at the bottom of the page. What could be more simple?
  4. Another portion of world of Galaxy Conquest 2569 Ver 2 has been updated. http://galconq.oldmmogamers.net/info/agriplanet.shtml Not you typical Eclipse adventure :) Cheers
  5. @LukBrave: > OK the first one is: > 1) I'm confused with the IP's, Does it go in the mine, the one I'm sending out, or both?!?!? > > Read the Documentation, its fully describes in there > > 2) How does I gets VB6 for freez? > > You don't from here. > > Please help meh :embarrassed:
  6. You would need to draw the button and write the code under VB6 and recompile
  7. More explanation and a bit of code will help answer that..
  8. Since you didn't care to follow my instructions, there is no way I can help you. Cheers
  9. @Hey880: > Its still not connecting. That's what I mean. I tried that and I got rejected of the connection. And I'm just connected throught the wall.. I'm not sure. Post the config.ini from the (EO2 FolderLocation)\datafiles Client folder Are you running the server on the same machine as the client?
  10. I hope you did a backup of the source before you edited it. This way you can restore it back to a working state and see where you may have gone wrong.
  11. Well, I though EO 2 was port 7000. 1.)How you you connect to the internet (ADSL,cable.dialup?) You have to 'open a port' that can be externally accessed. 2.)You already have an external IP, this is what you have to put in the config file for the client you send out. You can get this from http://www.whatismyip.com/
  12. @Kreator: > How the tits did you get so offended by this comment? Seemed more like an origin or inspiration guess rather then an insult. If I got the same comment I'd be like- fuck yeah bro, because the golden age of gaming is what I want to bring back! I didn't actually get offended although I guess it could be seen that way, I mainly just wanted to let him and others know I couldn't give a Targ fart if they liked my "90's" site and game or not :cheesy: Funny thing is, if he is one of the ones here using VB6, thats also so "90's" :P Also when I'm programming I'm listening to Roger Waters/Old Pink Floyd, BTO, CCR and Styx (Circa 70's-80's) Old People dislike change and 'new tricks' Cheers
  13. @Chief: > Who said you can't hand-code css? Thats how I do it. Anyone using something like dreamweaver, that writes it for you, is a tard. Well, I put a new statement in my 'header script' on my website that takes care of it :)
  14. @Chief: > Yeah, I do a lot of heavy CSS styling daily. Ive forgotten how to make websites without it, lol I hand-code/write all my pages with a text editor. So the old way works better for me.
  15. @Chief: > Your website makes me feel all warm inside. Man, I'm not even close to your age, but I love the nostalgia it brings. You even used tables and the font tag. Ha, this is so out of time, I love it. Glad someone likes it. Style sheets give me a headache…. Cheers
  16. Did you set the door tile to use the key? You cant just plunk down a tile without stating what to do with it.
  17. You can get VB6 here (legally) http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Visual-Studio-Professional-Edition/dp/B00002S7IA
  18. @Erwin: > Please don't triple post, there is a Edit button for that. > > Also, if you're really 55 then you're the oldest member out here. :P > > And I agree with the others, Galaxy Conquest looks kinda complex and 90's, but I'm sure there are people who will like it. ;) I have 4 Alpha Testers at the moment, and 27 Future Beta Testers signed up so I would think so… Most that have signed seem to realize this won't be a graphics dependent 3D whiz bang that needs the current latest and greatest super-computer. They actually like a game that is somewhat complex that you actually have to think! The game concentrates on something other than snazzy graphics. Will appeal to mostly 'City Builder' types Even if no one plays it for a long time, its construction is keeping me from going stir-crazy and dying of boredom.
  19. @gingertoby: > is it free Definitely not… http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Visual-Studio-Professional-Edition/dp/B00002S7IA About the only place to legally get it..
  20. @Jungle: > What do you expect us to do? Bow down in front of you and praise your work? This board is for constructive criticize. If you can't handle it then don't post. I have already stated I could not give an Orc Fart what you think of it, sorry! And if you don't like my opinions, or you cant handle them. don't read them. Cheers
  21. @Baron: > I find Annas comments well grounded in this regard. While it is sometimes convenient to have all the features at your fingertips, the presentation and organisation of this data into subcategories will aid new players learning experiences and improve player retention. > > I love the complexity you're going for and encourage you to continue, great work. You have no idea :) Besides what you see, you can also build an outpost on planets, upgrade building to give you more production and credits (money) as well as asset management of these facilities (you have to supply materials to produce the output). Exploring unknown planets for special items using in crafting, there will be 'quests' as well as achievement and metals. If no ones around you compete against AI for monetary supremacy. You don't actually see anyone else other than the AI. A lot of info will be updated on the website (there is already quite a pit there) The screen side is 1600x625 which is available on just about any flat screen. The game is definitely not for every one and is but no means 'intuitive' If interested I can save you a beta spot. Cheers
  22. @Fogger: > I like it, reminds me of Space Empires III It was inspired by an old BBS 'Door' Game called Trade Wars 2000 back in the 1980's before the internet was public and everyone used a 2400 Baud modem to connect to a 'Bulletin Board System' Ah.. the good olde days (* cough *)
  23. I stand corrected…I should have stated "Most up-to-date PUBLICLY AVAILABLE engine is already here..and free." Cheers
  24. You will have to give much more specific information than that before anyone can help.
