  1. > End it already. He gave you criticism whether is was positive or negative; take it. Don't go and develop stuff if you're not going to take criticism.

    > how about we just end it here ok.

Uh, he already did Aaron. Try not to fuel anything else by mistake? :'p

Also, Artix =/= MrDots. At least, I don't think so. ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png)
  2. *yawn*…this constant and insistent drama is all getting rather boring and dated now.

    * * *

Anyway, as an _objective_ point: as a concept, this is mentality destroying and will be extremely detrimental to the expected user-base. The last thing anybody wants is a young, teenaged girl going on with an extremely low self esteem being shot down by trolls, and generally horrible people. At an extreme (but probable) case, this can lead to psychological problems (anorexia, low self-esteem, even more extreme: suicide).

You can't say "allot of guys", because that simply isn't the case. If they're unsure (Or rather, insecure) about their appearance they shouldn't (and probably wouldn't) use the a site like this to judge for them, neither should anything be an accelerant to being shot down, either.

Also, _**please**_ do not ask for help if you have barely developed the concept. It seems arrogant, almost.
  3. Bumpity bump. ~!

From tomorrow, temporarily, there won't be any public access, while we finish off the Maps. Most of the NPCs and Items have been done. We're not quite sure when things'll be done, but we anticipate the update'll be in place within two weeks

As for the Glaciate Exclusive Code, that's been sent to members who registered before the 1st of Jan in an email. To any who missed it, I'm offering a second chance; anybody who signs up before the 28th can get their hands on a slightly smaller pool of resources.
  4. New version!

    ![](http://services.glaciate.net/file_host/host/25195c48e9db44315d2a55c4519aff28.png)

It includes the palette change, the ability to customise tiles, a check for whether you have Segoe UI Symbols installed (If not, it simply gets rid of the icons.) and a task manager button.
  5. It's quite sad that we've now reached the point where this is even a topic of discussion.

Anyway, I'm against the idea. The last we need is to be encouraging members to be horrible.

By all means, try it, experiment with it, but really. Quite disappointing.
  6. > Pretty sure I've actually done something with my life, unlike you. You sit here and try to act smart in between a group of people who can't even comprehend the simplest of design concepts because you can't compare to anyone else outside of Eclipse.

Given that you don't know me outside of Eclipse, it's a bit creepy that you're stalking me to know that I've apparently done nothing with my life.
  7. > Then why are you here?

Because I am hilariously bored at the moment. Indulge me.

    > No one gives a flying duck about you yet you're still here, move on with your life.

You're right, but hey, said can be same for you, eh?
  8. Obviously the following isn't default, but you can basically customise colours however the hell you like now:

    ![](http://p1ceu.glaciate.net/V.png)

So yeah, now it uses the actual scheme, not a bad quick copy. :'P

EDIT: Whoops, didn't mean to double post. Sorry!
  9. So, I've been busy making a scheme selector. You right-click the button, and you can change the colour to what you want. It's also saved.

The scheme displays the default Metro scheme, and also has a colour dialogue for those who dislike Metro's scheme. ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png)

  10. > -snip-

Yeah, I won't feel bad. Either use it or don't, it doesn't really affect me if you don't.

    > -snip-

Blame Metro. How about I make an update where you can select the colours from the Metro scheme? ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png)

    > -snip-

To keep it small, I used the Segoe UI Symbol font instead of images. If you don't have it installed, then that's why they appear square. (Note to self: check for Segoe UI Symbol through code to get rid of the symbols if it's not installed.)

    > You could of just made a skin for [Classic Shell](http://www.classicshell.net/), right?

    Nah, not as fun.
  11. > Nice! I would use it if i had win8 ![:)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png)

Funnily enough, it actually functions perfectly fine on Windows Vista and 7, and may work on XP. Obviously, it's use there is redundant. xD
  12. [background=rgb(246, 250, 251)]Made for Windows 8, in VB.NET, Metro Menu is designed to function in a non-invasive means. While it does mean you do have to do a small amount to get it to work, you can easily play around with it without fear of playing around with Windows.[/background]

[background=rgb(246, 250, 251)]It's quite simple. You download the program, stick it anywhere you like, right click it, click "Pin To Taskbar", and that's it! From there, you can simulate your loved start menu, without removing the charms should you want it. It's designed to fit in, yet actually function intuitively.[/background]
