    Tavern Mockup

    > I don't like the room's colors, looks like a modern office. Maybe it's an after hours bar for blue collar workers. :) But yes the blueish tones seem a bit strange.

  4. I'm here. Still looking at different platforms. Anything 3D seems way over my head so I've been looking at 2 and 2.5D stuff.

    ANTI-DDOS

    > is there any program that can make an ip allowed to have only 10 connections because i am always getting ddosed :( Let's start off with which version of windows you;re running and if it's a VPS, dedicated server, or something else. Also how much access you have to the server in question. Also if you;re already running a firewall and, if so, which specific one you;re running. Before you answer that question though, contact your provider and inform them that you are under attack, explain what's happening, and ask them if they are able to do anything. No, don't respond here. Take your hand away from that quote button. Open up your email and contact your host.
  6. EO is server software, not web based software or a website. It's an actual program that you have to actually run online. Think of it like a WOW or SWTOR server. You're going to have to find a windows based host to host the software. They offer hosting for you if that helps: [http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/page/index.html/eclipse_origins_gold_silver_store.html](http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/page/index.html/eclipse_origins_gold_silver_store.html) Else I would suggest google'ing for 'windows vps' or 'windows server'. I can make suggestion although not sure, being fairly new myself with this software, how approate it would be for me to do so.
  7. Is this the first time you've run the client? Have you made any changes to the files previously?
  8. *ugh* I think I'm just going to buy the hosting. Their interface makes no sense to me. edit: How do we mark a thread as resolved? I can't find it in the editor or the FAQ/ forum instructions.

    > I believe he is only referring to the GUI, the color of the monsters name are irrelevant, at least in this post. > > But yeah, you're right xD Sorry. I was looking at the whole picture as a single interface.

  11. > Selecting the base engine that is right for you is a fairly important step as well! This is important. Trying these engines out first before sitting down to work with them is important. Three months down the line only to find out that the engine doesn;t support what you need is not going to make you happy. Having said that, I;ve searched and don't see a thread on tools and/or procedures one may use for planning out a plot line. I know Fred over at Megatokyo has written a bit on the tools that he's using but they're all Mac based: [http://vn.megatokyo.com/](http://vn.megatokyo.com/) Any suggestions on plot planning for windows based folks? thanks

The red of the "Crawlers" is a bit hard to read against the gray of the paths. I don't have the best eyesight though. Maybe a different font?….
