  3. Tru dat….but seriously... it is true. ;) For all the 360 haters, clearly they haven't seen the new Halo Reach vids from Comicon (No, i'm not a Halo fanboy. I thought Halo 3 was actually quite rubbish). Speaking of which, you should put off this surgery till 14/09/10 - the release date! ;D

He was likely talking about the Wii with the "revolutionary" motion control. You can't copyright an idea anyway so I don't see it as a major problem for Sony to be doing something similar. Remember, ideas stem from other ideas. XD

Well done Stephan it seems you too are also contributing little to this thread. Had you actually read the first post: @Xavi: > Nintendo is once again revolutionizing the video game industry. He was talking about the Wii, hence the discussion of the Wii. Furthermore, do I care what you think of my methods of getting my point across are? @Zonova: > If the Wii is fail, then why is the ps3 copying it? the wii originated the whole idea. yes, its graphics do suck, but thats besides the point. > > Im loving everything hey have shown of the 3DS so far. it has a lot of potential. im hoping to see some sort of NVidia graphics card in it, so the graphics arent that bad. Since when is the PS3 copying the Wii? and yes the gfx do suck along with the lack of HD, poorly implemented Internet capabilities and all of its games, save Mario Cart and Zelda. I also look forward to the 3D's, looks very interesting and revolutionary for the most part, should be interesting to see how it turns out.

@Xavi: > After watching videos of E3, I'm pretty excited about the 3ds. Nintendo is once again revolutionizing the video game industry. Ha! Is this a joke? Wii = Fail
  10. Respect for the Zeitgeist movement! :) However, the first Zeitgeist movie was very bias and wasn't really convincing for the most part. This is not because of what the movie represents but how it was represented. I'd advise all those who are going to watch anything related to Zeitgeist to watch [Zeitgeist Ammendum](http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7065205277695921912#) first. If, by the end of the movie, you still don't believe in this movement….then you are a fool.
  11. Haha this is hilarious.
  12. Actually, when I responded in the last post I hadn't tested it. Now that i've tested it….... it doesn't work. Whats wrong with it?
  13. Your a legend, thank you. I thought it would have been a more complex command for that….I was looking to much into it.
  14. Ok i've got somethings working at the moment, just wondering how you get text from command prompt? The commands work, but I want to print the data too a text box on the screen. Here's the code: Dim sYourCommand As String 'sYourCommand = "\\networkfolder\project\testfile.txt" Shell("cmd /c " & "IpConfig")
  15. @Aero/EBrown: > You can modify all my stuff as needed. Thanks, but what stuff is that exactly? Also writing stuff to a txt file is no worries, its actually just doing all the cmd stuff through vb thats the problem.
  16. If I use the "net view" command it gives me all the computers on the network. Is there no way to take all those names, export them to a txt file and then have VB ping each one automatically? I should add that not all the computers have the same IP's, eg they're not all 192.168.1.0, some have IP's like 10.34.8.xx ect.
  17. As i said, there are quite a few computers on the network and I really don't want to ping everyone of them. Does anyone know a command that can do this automatically or maybe some VB code that can do it?
  18. My network Admin wouldn't like what I'm doing (Setting up games).
  19. Hey guys, I've been searching the net and i'm having a difficult time finding an answer to my question. I'm trying to get the Ip's of all computers on my network through CMD and I can't figure out the commands for it. There are quite a few computers (120) aswell so i'd like to have all there Ip's automatically put into a txt file. Is this possible through CMD? If not, how would you do this in VB6?
  20. Ok first of all, the chicken itself did not come from another chicken, It evolved from a pre-dated egg laying species.
  21. Good point. Make them go to a certain point to start the job for the day and then they can go and do whatever. Then there'll be a certain time period before they can do it again.
  22. Some good ideas guys. What about the idea of having someone automatically working (The player doesn't actually have to do anything) a job and getting payed for it, however they have to wait a certain amount of time before they can work again. This way the player can focus on getting better skills to get better jobs instead of grinding.
  23. Hey guys, I'm looking to implement jobs into my MMORPG and I really need some collaberative ideas as to how to make them enjoyable to the player. What are your thoughts on the jobs within MMO's and what is the best way to implement them so it is enjoyable? For Example, my game is based in the modern world with modern jobs. So for the early stages of the game where the player has a s*** job such as a janitor, how would I make that enjoyable to them? Should it be that the player doesn't actually do the job but gets payed a certain amount per day? I'm not sure how to implement this and make it enjoyable for the players. Thoughts?
  24. @Shelkeman: > O really.. sorry I didnt know… btw what is source code? /Facepalm Really?….. /Facepalm
