  2. something that will make our lives as world developers easier is if we can see the tile image that is under our cursor before clicking so we can know exactly how it will look and where the textures are going to land in relation to everything else before we place it down
  3. thanks for the answers, both are great thoughts, maybe one of my scripting friends can help me out here because I am estimating quite a huge amount of players on my game since it is not your typical 2D rpg. this might even be a thought for player housing and such, have that on seperate servers
  4. not sure if this is possible but I have been doing some thinking about only being allowed 70 players. is there a way we can have multiple worlds and 70 players on each world? so like if one world is full players can choose another world

I have this idea and it is to make an option for 2 separate types of warehouses. 1 warehouse is just the normal worldwide account warehouse and the second one is for consumables so that a refrigerator can be placed on a map and anyone on the map where the particular refrigerator is can place food or ingredients in and also take them out, take out 1 at a time not whole stack. This can be great for family homes and even guild houses to be able to share food and prepare meals together. Some ideas for this can be in order to access refrigerator the person accessing it must be have house key in their inventory if it is too hard to make the storage be for anyone on the particular map. so the house key will not only work for accessing the house but also for that particular refrigerator. I will update this thread if i think of more details
  8. how long before this will be fixed? it's pretty important, i found a temporary workaround for not having crafting so the fish can be cooked just by using an event to trade raw fish for cooked version but it would be nice to have some fish to cook.

  10. thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into this update. It will definitely be easier to map now being able to see a larger screen area. you really outdid yourself and the gui looks amazing

Any approximate timeframe on the update now? I have so so many people who are excited about playing the type of game I am making with this, trust me my ideas are like none other that exist and with all the excitement spilling over with people I feel like I need to be getting this game made and ready to be played.
  15. my friend is an admin in my game and up until a couple days ago has been logging into the game without any issues but now as soon as she tries to log in on the client it gets hung on loading direct x and crashes here I attached a screenshot of the error and it seems to be fmod.dll but i never touched that file. any suggestions i can give her as to what she might can do?

I opened the client source in visual basic and i added a case 4 underneath the other tool type cases so I added shears since I need to pick fruit off of a fruit tree and it will not let me pick anything bare handed saying no tool required but my shears is not showing up as a tool type even though I added it in both places I could find where the other tool types are listed in source but when i equip the shears which i have set currently as tool type hatchet and I press ctrl to use on tree it just tells me "you have the wrong type of tool equipped". any idea what i am doing wrong?

  18. yayy awesome, you are the best :) ok so currently then the skills button does not mean skills like fishing and woodcutting and such, that would be quite confusing for players use to skills being things that can be leveled up. I am hoping to make alot of different skills in my game sorta like runescape. But my game will not be using any spells at all except for healing.
  19. i was actually pressing space bar to pick things up, ok enter key works. I thought for sure i saw skills somewhere "woodcutting" fishing" and 1 other i cant recall. ok so since there is a skill button, do you plan on adding any example skills for us to go by so we can add our own? I have no clue how to add skills without an example
  20. when i spawn an item, I can't pick it up * * * the skills list is empty even though it seems there are 3 skills built into the engine

I probably will, but it will be after the engine is stable and has most of the other big features added. alright, it would be great and I will be patient, atleast the engine works, and the new update is coming soon which will take care of the more immediate problems like chat box being in the way of me placing my tiles and not being able to see my character when walking under chat box as well of course "true" full screen which will be nice and helpful for building my world and easier to actually see the entire game and become more immersed in the game. thanks for all you are doing, it really is appreciated
  22. it would be very nice if the game world "felt" like 1 complete endless world, walking across the screen and the screen scrolls with you as you walk over the border into the next map without pausing.
