  7. @Chakkra: > The second one. > > I for one would never play a game made with RMXP ever. Ok thanks :cheesy:
  8. @Kreator: > If you finish your game you should already have whatever sprites you chose to use/ made Right but I mean would it be ok to use RXMP sprites if I pulled it off really nicely? Do you think people would care or just immediately turn away from the game because I didn't use custom ones?
  9. When I finish my game and want to release it, should I use custom sprites rather than RXMP ones?
  10. @Kreator: > If you have the time and passion to learn - Practice pixel art yourself. > If you have the money and the will to pay - Pay someone > If you have other skills and are able to establish a great game design document - Show people and look to recruit a spriter > If your a novice and just want to practice game development - Use RMXP or such. So I shouldn't use RMXP in beta testing/the actual game?
  11. I've been looking at a lot of Eclipse games lately and most of them have custom sprites. I currently map and use the sprites from Eclipse 2.7 on Eclipse Origins. I really like the graphics and I think I can do a lot with them but they seem to be frowned upon. I don't have any experience making sprites and resources so it would be hard to make custom ones but then again I don't want to be demeaned for using pre-made sprites. Any suggestions?
  12. @Marsh: > oh, I have no idea. Oh its ok now I just host it on my parents computer and edit stuff on my laptop lol. Thanks :cheesy:

My favorite of yours so far. Keep doing what your doing :cheesy:
  14. @Shadowwulfâ„¢: > Nick, I sent you a PM to help you out. > But I must insist that you read the source completly and follow each process to understand how the code works. Otherwise sit down with a vb6 for dummies book and get your learn on! Rose is going to help me with some of the problems. Thank you :cheesy:

Really, Bridget, draw an evergreen or something, those are nice and easy. I'll show you how sometime." > > Then my mom got mad at him, so now I'm getting ten notifications a minute about them arguing over his insensitivity xD > > The face that your uncle talks on your Failbook about your spriting is… weird. The fact that you put "face" instead of "fact" is even weirder.
  16. No you can't do scripts in Origins. You edit the source code. But for the lack of scripts you get a much cleaner interface and easier item, shop, and spell creators as well as dynamic sprites which is why I use it ^^ *And the spell interface has info on the spells you know, along with cooldowns and cast times, and pictures of spells instead of text. All in all a lot smoother than Stable, IMO, of course.

The bark looks very nice but the leaves could be a bit better. Overall another nice job. :azn:
  18. @Rose: > Well then, do you have an Instant Messenger? That seems to make things so much simpler now a day. And it'll also help me limit content to fit forum rules. I have an AIM as well as an MSN. Whatever is easier for you. AIM: Nickosarus Rex MSN: [email protected]
  19. @Rose: > CTRL + F. Eclipse Origins is for people who want to learn/ already know how anyway. Do you have Vb6? If so I can walk you through what you need to do. I would very much like to learn how for I have aspirations to make a great game. I don't have vb6 but I would like to get it and some people have told me you can get it for free somewhere but you seem to know what you're talking about more than the random people I heard on the shoutbox.
  20. @Rose: > Why don't you open up the source, find the algorithm or packet that handles those costs and appliances and copy/edit them to fit for the Heal HP handle? Because I don't understand 90% of what you just said.
  21. Any spell with the "Heal HP" option will completely ignore mana cost, cool down, cast time, and effect. [![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/ba5b3aa9ffe9c72c5602f14c80100c2b.png)](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/#ba5b3aa9ffe9c72c5602f14c80100c2b.png)
  22. @Ertzel: > Eclipse Origins is not for super newbs really, for one its still in development so you kindda need to know how to add alot of your own stuff to make a game with it, and it kindda requires you to have vb6 understanding to make a good game with. > > Also, the only way to get vb6 is by buying it, or using "other" ways (aka illegal downloads) that we can't direct you to over the forums since it is against the rules. Well 2.7/2.8 are so clunky and EO was pulled together so nicely that I don't see myself ever going back to them, so even if I have to start from the beginning I'll do what I can..so If you have an MSN or something or know a place I can get vb6 for free that'd be appreciated…as long as we aren't breaking any forum rules, of course.
  23. @Ertzel: > if you are going to be using EO, you NEED VB6 to edit anything. > > Really, to make a game even with EE2.7 u should have vb6 anyways, but you need it for EO. Where do I get it? (Don't be mad for I am a super noob :l)
  24. @unknown: > Search for rarity or rare across all client source files. Search for exp across all server source files. There is a way to do this within vb6. Is there anyway to change it without VB6?
  25. @unknown: > Ctrl-f rarity > Search for green, replace with pink > > Ctrl-f exp > Change equation to better suit your needs The whole server folder or a certain file?
