  1. The billboard "posts" aren't equal size, when colored the street lines will be annoying to look at, idk if it's just me but the bricks  seem inconstant when they join the building, and I think the lines for the roof on the building aren't straight.
  2. Looking at my old work, I have noticed that the size is too small for the current size of things; heres a redo of my old wood post, C&C please.

    I don't think that would give me desired effects, plus, I have a lot of fun making iso art for my game, and I would hate to destroy the feel of the whole game by having some structures the way you mentioned, while having structures that can't go through that process have a completely different look.
  4. the buttons are not merged, they are tabs, and as for 'vomit green' being the solution to everything, it fits with the garden concept, I'm not dismissing feedback, im trying to get people to understand my view on it, and yes I do feel the need to blindly argue, and I do lack the drive to improve my skills in making this graphic.

    I hope that stops this conversation.
  5. I disagree, but likewise,
    when i said i valued the opinions of certain people, that does not mean i won't take them into consideration, I just meant if draken doesn't see the changes need to be done (besides the spelling errors and a few fixes) then they don't need to be done.

    The gui parts all over the place, I can't say this is not true, however I did decide that depending on the menu present a button or two will be displayed here or there, and by that I mean under the health and such.

    the colors, I think work great together, and won't change, at least not right now.

    and rather, its a concept gui, its not meant to be done, perfect, or any other good quality reference its just to see how the idea of the design looks, hence why its a sneak peek and not an official piece. I don't really visit often to care to debate this any longer.

    We can continue to dispute this, but as far as i see it this is a opinion vs opinion thing.

    The solid color is what I thought would work best, the game itself is simple so I made the gui simple. The buttons are bulky, yes I know I chose their size and I'm sticking with the decision made unless told otherwise by someone in cgp disagrees.

    the sleeker design, would not fit with the game, if you haven't played don't post and if you have and you're still saying my design is bad then, I don't care. the people who need to like it do, I put the amount of detail the game has, if not just a little less, if I made the green any more amazing then it might draw your eyes away from it.

    I'm done discussing the GUI design, focus on the fact that the GUI design is different from most and enjoy it.

    I can fix the spelling mistake but as for all the things you have pointed out besides that

    The only problem iv notices is the chat tab, otherwise I say iv done a good job at capturing what Draken wanted.

    Thanks for the rest being opinion based, and it does help me in the future but Draken seems happy with it and for all I care people like it. It has a nice base color, with little detail, its compact and fits with the game screen it allows you to play without all the detail to draw your eyes from the game. In my opinion for the theme I was going for I succeeded, and isn't that all that matters?, that I feel my art was its best?

    lol, Draken might be late but good job at getting legendary status, and kudos for liking the design even with the few mistakes it possesses, I'm going to redo the shadows in the conversion from the first to this it seems the angles for the 'not selected' tabs got messed up.

    as crazy as it may seem, I have them large as the system I'm going to use will tile the ground on a separate tiling system, at least that's the plan for now. if I decide this looks bad with the graphics and the size of the graphics ill change it, its to help further eliminate the grid by having walking animations and objects run on a smaller tiling system then the ground

    …, I got to be honest I just now noticed your post, and its a type of texture its own, i'll be trying my hand at other textures but its a place to start, you dont start building an empire if you dont have a town. (lol horrible saying)

    Ah, okay I thought you meant the blades themselves so I added another blade color, i'll try tht now.

    Lukin, I stated that but decided I disliked the grass to even attempt a fix.
  14. Small update:
    Taking a break on terrains until I can figure out a style that looks and works best with my other pieces, I'll be posting more of what I have after I check the angle and gradients, there are not many but hopefully enough for two days to be worth the time.
    I have cleaned up the post a bit to make it easier to find what you might be interested in, I have finished the fence as is and it is now separated into the different graphics accordingly. I also added a sample for you to see how it will fare in game. I'll add the different corner-post images when I'm done with a gate.
    I also want to thank you all for the positive comments and criticism, helps me a lot when going to make something new.
