    Storytime P1

First off I'm not trying to be a dick, just being critical XD. Anything **bolded** is something I've changed. K let's begin: @Ddunit: > Back in the day when adventurers, **merchants** and villagers all met in a tavern, where adventuring was actually considered a profession (not always honourable, may I say) I met an energitic young lad, not any lad, too, he was quite the swordsman. Firstly, this sentence is quite hard to follow because it is a massive run-on. Split this up and you will have about 2-4 coherent sentences. Also work on your punctuation, you have too many commas where they're not needed, and lack a few where they are. @Ddunit: > When talking about his "adventures**,**" lies creeped out of his **mouth** like money out of a jeweller's pocket. Which also means, alot. But one of those, the **worst**, **I might say**, turned out to be truth. "Like money out of a jeweller's pocket" is a pretty crappy expression for this, as it implies that all jewelers are rich. "Which also means, alot." I learned so a few years later, during one of my late travels, because **as** you know, a kender never settles down permanently**.** I heard a **minstrel** sing out the feats of a strapping young lad… and this is how the story went... What are your "late travels"? Late could imply late in your life or late in the year/season/month/day. Explain that better. "a kender never settles down permanently." What the hell is a kender? @Ddunit: > Phenos, our hero, first came into our village in hopes of finding a simple quest, and by his large clothes that didn't fit him, seemed to need one of those. So our bartender decided to send him **on a** quest (at this time, the man thought it was suicide for the young lad, who barely had any **hair on his chin**). The young man accepted confidently, a glimmer of greed in his eyes, for the reward for **this** task was great (as was the difficulty). The first sentence is worded poorly, and sounds awkward. Fixed lots of grammatical errors… @Ddunit: > For a long time, a tribe of ogres kept on **attacking** the village, making small raids in the surrounding farms or tiny "assaults" on the village to get their occasional barrel of beer, which we ended up giving them before they broke the wooden remparts with their clubs. This should be about 3 sentences, not 1 massive run-on. And it hardly makes sense as well, a tribe of ogres going after an occasional barrel of beer, which you end up giving them because they are about to bash down your wooden ramparts with CLUBS? (wooden ramparts are on the INSIDE of the walls by the way) @Ddunit: > Phenos wasn't any stupid child, **though**, for he knew the bartender was bluffing him when he said the quest would be easy, and wanted to get rid of him in a "polite" manner. So he took off, anger in **his** heart, towards the hills where the ogres were hiding. Being crafty, he scouted around the hills in search for ogres, but found none at all. There were no caves either. Thinking **this was a** joke, he headed back towards the village… Just as eyes stalked him from a tree, no, no children, it wasn't an ogre in the tree, that's impossible! It was a crow!... "Just as eyes stalked him from a tree, no, no children, it wasn't an ogre in the tree, that's impossible! It was a crow!…" Just get rid of that $h!t, it's not funny, doesn't make any sense really, and terrible grammar. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OK, all in all that was a pretty bad story. Wasn't enticing, the hero was as boring as ever, the quest was described extremely poorly, the monsters were described poorly, terrible grammar and spelling... Did you even proof read this thing? I mean honestly you would have realized that half of it didn't make sense if you did. Nope, you seriously need to work on this if you want any chance at winning. Good luck, Lam3r
  3. Yeah there is no "Eclipse" game lol. You make your own game on the server, and connect to it with your client. And yes sorry its 127.0.0.1
  4. Default for connecting to yourself is IP: 192.168.1.1 Port: 4000
  5. I read Ender's Game and Shadow, and I think one more, but they were all excellent. Loved the whole way they did the academy and the "game" itself ;P
  6. LOL well i'd like to backpack europe someday, and I'll definitely go to all the major western countries (Ireland, Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Italy) but for now it's France ;)
  7. Yeah unknown speaks da troof. It will be difficult regardless, but if you want to use the Eclipse engine still you'll need to learn Visual Basic and get yourself a copy of VB6\. If you wait a little while for SolarEclipse which has yet to be released you will be able to program it in Java using that engine.

    Non responsive

You probably don't have the ip correctly configured for your new server..
  9. Lol well I'm in my 2nd year of french so i already knew all of those ;P But that's a nice list for people. How do you say "I am in my second year of learning French." ? Is it: "Je suis a mon deuxieme an de [learning] la francais" ?
  10. LOL i'd be happy to see that guide si'l vous plait ;P
  11. Yah I think I'll probably go. Hopefully some friends go though xD Otherwise it might be pretty hard figuring out what to do sometimes ^^
  12. @Bone: > Dude go, I went last year with a school group and it was awesome. > They sold heineken in the vending machine in one of the hotels. > The food is absolutely amazing, I could've eaten bread and cheese the whole time and have come back extremely satisfied. > And the german McDonalds menu had words with around 30-40 letters. Lol I'm doing something like that next summer, but this time is actually a school exchange, so I'll be staying with a French family in their house in Lille, not a hotel :P Although I could probably go to Germany it's so freakin' close xD
  13. You need to make a different server and client for the new game…
  14. Chief likes me!!! I want 1 pl0x
  15. Last minute, game starts in like 10 minutes!!! So who do you THINK will win? **I THINK the Cowboys will win, and i WANT the Cowboys to win :azn:**

    Eclipse stable

Definitely read some getting started with Eclipse tutorials…that's one of the broadest questions i've ever seen here. Tutorials section is where u want to go. Please /close
  17. I'm pretty sure most at least know a little or can understand it, since it's one of the national languages.. But I appreciate the replies :D I'll probably be going if a few friends go ^^, even if i can't understand it looking @ pictures of Lille it looks pretty sweet. And I've never been out of the country before so…FTW
  18. Lol your mom calls u jewfro? OK well anyway just talk to her then, don't be awkward just be friendly.
  19. Lol well say you're thinking about changing it and ask her what she thinks would look good. but looking @ her dude she doesn't look like a preppy prude bitch or anything, so you could definitely get her ;) Just gotta be good with words and not too awkward lol.
  20. Not really, if he wants a girl and she'll take him if he changes his hair cut then how could it be "bad" advice? Let's see this girl eh ;P But about the polo shirt thing, u get what I mean? If she doesn't like preps and likes jocks, then start working out, etc..
  21. Not allowed to request this. The only way to get VB6 now is to either buy from a friend or off eBay since Microsoft discontinued it. If you wanna get it illegally then Google i guess. Either way /close.
  22. Yeah that's usually a good option to. + figure out what she likes/dislikes. If she likes nice guys, don't be a dick, if she likes preps, wear a polo while you skate ;P, etc..
  23. Haha he used my method! K ty for the backup Kimmi ;) Honestly that fix needs to be added to next release, cuz that's a huge problem if it hasn't been solved (idk what version or engine he's using.) Does that answer your question/solve your problem Noa?
  24. Yeah like only digits 0-9 are allowed, no other characters that could work too, or my method, whichever is easier for the programmer ;-d
