Joyce
I believe it's because back then custom cursors weren't really supported properly yet, or you're using the wrong format for one. (Try googling VB6 Custom Cursors).
zarocmaster
Ok soI had a look online a bit more and found out that VB6 doesn't support coloured cursors. It will automatically change it to black and white.I have an idea you might be able to clarify…When I used to use GameMaker7 and I wanted a custom cursor I would turn of the mouse visibility and code the following.{\\sprMouse is the sprite\\sprMouse.x = mouse_x;sprMouse.y = mouse_y;}is ther something like this I could do, maybe? Joyce
Depends, you *could* hide the mouse and put a picturebox or render an image at your cursor's location I suppose.
zarocmaster
what sort of event should I use so it keeps refreshing the code, or maybe a Do Loop?
Joyce
I would personally look into using the Mouseover functionalities to keep it simple, OR switch the entire client to be rendered by DD7/D3D8 and just render the cursor on-screen completely. zarocmaster
thxedit:Just like to say that i worked it out. It will turn a .cur file to black and whit but if you use a .ico file than it will keep the colour. (but, the .ico cant be 32-bit with alpha) just 32-bit or below…![:)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png)
