It CAN be adjusted, but most of us have never bothered with it.2) Not natively.. Although the server CAN run under Wine, the client is a little tricky however.3) Yes, but would require some adjustments to be made. (There is no default feature to load in a background image for the game view)I hope this answers your questions a little, and let us know if you have any further questions!
