What is Spam?

This unsolicited e-mail is most likely some type of advertising or get-rich scheme, similar to the junk mail you or your family receive almost every day. With traditional junk mail, however, the people who send the mail pay a fee to distribute their materials.

>     Spam is not illegal yet, but several groups are trying to stop it. Several states are attempting to pass laws banning the sending of unsolicited e-mail. You can limit spam in a number of ways. Several services exist to which you can submit a complaint orvreport about a spam provider.
