Demosthenes2k8
Well, yes, the EclipseDS thing is more of a side-bit.Does anyone know a C++ command that equals Left$()?
Homicidal Monkey
I think you can do something with C-Strings. btw, Eclipse uses DX7 with 10 surfaces at 640x480 pixels. DS only supports 3 surfaces at 256x192 with 128 sprites. As you can see, I have no idea how you would transcode that.
Guest
lol there hasn't even ever been a mmorpg ds game. maple story is going to be, but I can't see how you could do it if even nintendo barely can lol
Demosthenes2k8
It's called delegation of duty xDI can convert a lot of it to C/C++, but…Basically, I will have other people working on the parts to adjust it to a C-based server. It takes a while though. I have to reprogram a Left() function myself.

dg1423
@slym:> lol there hasn't even ever been a mmorpg ds game. maple story is going to be, but I can't see how you could do it if even nintendo barely can lolWow, smart one. It's not that they can barely do it. If they wanted to, there'd be tons of mmos for the DS. but that's not their focus, they like the local multiplayer or friendcode system as you can play away from a wifi connection, thus portability is key and they make lots of money. But indeed, in this day and age if you marketed a DS mmo only in japan and/or US it might be quite successful as there is hardly any place (except while traveling) that you don't have a wifi connection nearby. Which is why they now have the DSi, who's wiFi capabilities are better than the PSP (it has a G wifi card, Huzzah!) And in actualilty, it's very easy to do. dg1423
well the DSi has better WiFi than the PSP. Plus the fact it's a DS. Might get one when it comes here next Fall.
