Techno 5.0
This is very easy and will help you LOADS.this tutorial will only help make a base tile not the ectual finish.ill add Screenshots once i get home.Step 1.make a new image 32x32\. Then choose a base color. any color, blue, green, red black… it doesnt matter.Step 2.Add some Noise (Effects>Noise>Add Noise)dont do to much and dont do to little.make sure to remove the color in it aswell.Step 3.im not exactly sure if Fragment Blur(Effects>Blurs>Fragment Blur) comes with Paint.net. but if it does..just choose some settings in that.once your done with that part you are finished!you can start pixeling fo-Reals now.very easy yet very effective! Anna Comnena
The main downsides to using noise, is that it can be very easily overused, and also once it's in place that tile can no longer be useful for palette swaps or other bases. Noise is best used at the final stages to easily add some texturing to objects you've already drawn and shaded.
Alpha
If you want to basically use noise but not, then go in Paint and use the Airbrush tool. Still cheating though, you have to use something 1px by 1px to make it look awesome.-AlphaP.S.- Pics?
