Music composer (LMMS)

LMMS Linux MultiMedia Studio is a very impressive free music software with many features comparable to commercial composers such as FL and Noteworthy Composer.

  A few of the features I've discovered so far:
  Beat/bassline editor
  Effects mixer
  Piano Roll (Like a piano for all the instruments/sound effects in the program)
  Many sounds/beats included and a few samples that I believe are free to use (but you may want to check)
  I believe you can transfer new sound files into the system, but only if they are .ogg or .ds

  Another plus is it's compatibility with Mac and any version of windows 98 and up (yes this includes Vista)

How do you convert audio to ds or ogg? Can I use goldwave?
