Admiral Refuge Posted May 9, 2009 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Hello there DrunknAzn, welcome to Eclipse!Now, side-scrollers are possible (see links below), though the engine is meant for top-down games, such as RPGs and sort.But, the great thing about Eclipse, is that it can virtually do ANYTHING. Things that are not included by default, can be done with Scripting; and if something can be scripted, you can modify the source code to do it yourself.Anyway, check out this game: http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=29678.0 (go to their website for screenshots), and you'll see that he was able to make it a side scroller.The person that made that game, posted a modified version of Eclipse (well, it's not really "modified", but configured for side-scrollers) here: http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=35632.0Anyay, get abit better with the engine before attempting such a feat, and try to atleast get the basics of Scripting down-pat.@DrunknAzn:> also is this engine free ?My friend, check out the main website (the URL will answer that question):www.freemmorpgmaker.com Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
