**ChibiCity**

**Summary:**
ChibiCity is a game in which the player lives in a City that's system resembles the real world. ChibiCity has hotels, hospitals, apartments, houses, cars, buses, taxis, restaurants, drive ins, shops, jobs, factories, arcades, spas, laundries, dry cleaning, bathrooms, courts, jails, schools, pets, children, weddings, gas stations, cafes, grocery stores, gyms and more!
**How it Works:**
Everyday a user has x amount of Time Points (TP) to use in ChibiCity. This number depends on various factors. Taking the bus to work instead of driving a car costs one to loose more TP. Or daily cleaning of the apartment would automatically deduct TP, while living in a hotel wouldn't because someone cleans for you.
On top of TP, every user makes or Chibi Points. Chibi Points is the official currency of ChibiCity. You use CP to pay for an apartment, food, a taxi, the phone, etc. You earn CP from your job. The job system is still unclear but currently I have planned for a mini game style format. Everyday you can spend up to 8 TP (like 8 hours) on your job. Each TP counts towards one play of the mini game. Your score in the game is how much you make from that job. You could also do extra jobs which would be like helping bring groceries to someone's house or providing body guard like protection for someone coming home from work.
Each player has these stats: Intelligence, Work Ethic, and Strength.

Intelligence: Determines the types of jobs you can work. This is slowly gained by working jobs or can be quickly gained by paying and attending the university or community college. It is also gained quicker from working an internship (aka delivering coffee)

Work Ethic: Determines your ability to get more TP. You earn work ethic slowly by doing jobs at work and more quickly by doing jobs for people.

Strength: Determines your ability to fight. (needed in the Hood and the Streets) You can earn strength slowly by going to the gym or working and quickly by fighting or being a boxer.

**Living:**
In ChibiCity you can live in an apartment, a hotel, a house, or in The Mission.

Apartments: Most people will live in an apartment. Apartments range in size but require you to maintain them unless you live in an up-scale apartment complex that requires a monthly Home Owner's Association fee. The maintenance for an apartment will cause the loss of TP daily depending on the size of it. Apartments are paid for on a monthly basis and are charged directly from your bank account.

Hotels: Hotels are like apartments except that they are pricier, include free breakfast, need no maintenance, and are charged for on a daily basis.

Houses: Houses are the most expensive places to live in the game. In order to obtain a house, you must either buy it from the Real Estate Agency or buy land and get it constructed from the construction agency. Houses will be so expensive that they will be out of the afford ability range of most users. In a house you can hire a butler to take care of the TP depreciating maintenance fees and to do things for you such as getting cash from the bank or cooking food or buying commonly used items.

The Mission: The Mission is a large free to live in place. Sadly, the Mission is South of the Southern Hood of the town, so getting to work will take a while (since you must walk as the Hood is only 'navigatable' by car and because the hood is far from the inner portion of the city and you are in its South End). It is also dangerous to live in The Mission since the Hood is known for its Gangstas. Free food is available at the mission but it is discouraged because the chances of getting sick with it are high.
**Work:**
There are several jobs available in ChibiCity.
These include in ascending order:
Maid, custodian, grocery bagger, factory worker, fry cook, bell boy, intern, cashier, driver, school teacher, secretary, restaurant manager, principal, professor, general manager, dean, hotel manager, and CEO.
**Vehicles:**
In order to get around in ChibiCity, you may use vehicles.
Busses: Free, but takes a long time as it follows a routine.
Taxis: Very Expensive, but takes you directly to your location
Cars: Must pay for gas, you drive, cars cost money
**Health:**
In ChibiCity, there are hospitals. When you see a drop in your Health Gauge, you can go to the hospital to restore it.
Your Health Gauge increases as your strength increases.
If your Health Gauge reaches 0 you wake up in the hospital and are charged a hefty fine.
Your Health Gauge can drop when in a fight (each punch), when food poisoned (at a steadily decreasing rate), or when sick with a virus (an exponentially dropping rate).
**Money:**
It is important to manage money well in ChibiCity.
Bank and Loans: You can store your money in the bank to keep from loosing it when mugged by a gangsta. The bank also makes a small interest on the money everyday its in there. If you are buying a house, car, or are short on money you can take a loan. Loans are x% higher than the money you receive. (x depends on ChibiCity's economy) You can get loans in the bank and you must pay every month in the bank before the deadline or risk loosing all material items (including your house and car) and being thrown in jail.
Credit Cards: Most people do not want to go to the bank every time they need money so they get credit cards. Credit Cards charge the amount plus interest and take it from your bank when buying something.

**Jail:**
In ChibiCity you can go to jail either for being in debt or getting caught after hurting someone. If you are put into jail for debt, you loose all of your items except a pair of clothes and all of your money. You then must work in jail (the jail minigame) until you earn a certain total. Or, alternatively, you can wait a week and be automatically released. If you were caught hurting someone, you owe a certain amount of money that can potentially get you in jail again for debt and you must work or wait a week.

**Hygiene:**
In ChibiCity, you must shower to keep from a "reek" developing around you and to keep sickness chances lower. You must use the restroom before your bladder gauge is full or else your pants will develop a yellow splotch. Also, as clothes are used they develop dirt particles. To get rid of the particles you must send them to the laundry.

**Attractions:**
There are several restaurants and attractions in ChibiCity. Attractions range from concerts to arcades to amusement parks to museums. Attractions are a fun way to spend time when all of your TP is gone for the day.

What we need:
-1 or 2 Tile Artist/Sprite Artist(s)
-2 VB6 Programmers and Scripters (or JAVA if you think you can do this better in 3.0)

This game is a huge project. When finished, I will pay for domain hosting; we will just need to purchase a domain name.

Thanks,
Shri

Alright, so I'm here and ready to work on this. I think this has potential to be the best eclipse game yet if we put enough time and effort into it. If anyone wants to help, especially graphics wise, as I can't do it all alone. I'm pretty well known throughout the community and I am trustworthy. Just ask around if you're still skeptical.

Well, we need a graphics artist still….once we get an artist our work will be deployed..so just post up some examples and we'll see if you're suitable, but at this point we'll take what we get (as long as they're better than me of course...)
