No item skins and paperdoll dosent work

when i create an item and look in the list of sprites the only things i have are what i think are pants that come in 4 colours. also i cant see any of them on my char

sorry about the untidyness. those are the only sprites that show up when i go to create my item. can someone plz show me how get better items and weapons as well as fix paperdoll.

EDIT: i got a new items.bmp the first part of it looks like this:

i have more items but the paperdoll still doesnt work. i have paperdoll set to 1 in my data.ini

*sigh*
The "Type" and "Item Sprite" are completely separate. They do not affect each other.
If you scroll down enough (using the scroll bar beside the box with the sprites in it) you should eventually reach other items, then after awhile will reach generic items that are not a copy of each other several times.

The reason it is like this is because paper doll uses the same items.bmp. This way is really confusing to new members, there should be a paperdoll.bmp instead.

He must be using a different template then, because usually the items are at the top.

You could always replace your Items.bmp with this one I modified, so you can find the other items easier:

You're selecting the top items though, right?
Because you don't select the bottom ones as the items, you select the top, and it ties in with the bottom.
