Joe888888
I made this guide since I sent a super-long PM to a guy explaining how to get your game online.Hi!Lets get down to business,First, Put your server in a folder called Startup in the start menu under all programs or "programs" (if u dont have one make one)[Explanation of what you just did in brackets][You just made your game server start when your computer goes on, you can do it any other way, thats just one method]Then, in your game server folder, edit data.ini (or config.ini forgot which one existed XD)Now, there will be a few things in the listPORT= {enter the port you are going to use (try something like 3577)}Now, save the changes and exit, open the start menu and hit run and when the little box pops up enter in cmd hence opening command prompt, now, type in ipconfig in the command prompt.[Simply open up command prompt anyway, thats just one way]Then a few things should pop up, (if you have multiple ways to get internet you will have a few "boxes" or "paragraphs")Each little paragraph is one network connection, in the network connection box that you use to get to the internet from the router, a line should say "default gateway" find the number after that (e.g. 192.168.1.254) and type it in your internet browser,[You just found out the ip address of your router]Now it might ask for a password and username, if u don't know what they are type in admin for each (if its not that, you will have to find our on your own), now on the page there should be something like "port forwarding" or "applications and gaming" or something to do with firewalls/ports/etc. (you will have to find your way to the port forwarding page) if u can't, google your router's instructions.[The page will probably look something like this:![](http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:5NGc4iXgZS45_M:http://spherebox.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/am300-port-forwarding-22.JPG)Now, in one of the lines make the port range from #portyouareusing to the #sameportyouareusingforthegame and forward it,If you dont know how to do this exactly, google the name of your router with the words "port forward instructions",[You just forwarded a port, so now people can get to your computer's game server from anywhere in the world]Now, go to ipchicken.com and copy the ip it says into the box labeled "ip" at this page [http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,43997.0.html](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,43997.0.html) and in the port box put the port you forwarded (it will also be the same one as the one you had in data.ini) now make sure your server is on, once it is, hit submit on the page you opened,If a little box appeared saying "online", great, continue to the next step, if it said "offline", try googling pfconfig, download and try it, it worked for me.OK, now we are going to setup a static ip (it is so that in ipconfig you can type example.no-ip.org etc instead of 255.26536.7436734567\. blahblahblah)First, go to no-ip.com and create an account, once created, go to add hosts, and follow the instructions there, and the ip thingie you enter(e.g. example.no-ip.net) is the one that the people will type in as the ip.Once the host is added, go to manage hosts, once in there click the button that says something like "download duc" "download client" etc. get it installed on your computer, and run it, in account options, enter your no-ip info, and in other options, make it run at startup, now right click on the little host box and hit "refresh hosts"Your ip will appear there, and make sure that it is checked off and the smilie is smilingSo now enter the static (word) ip in ipconfig along with the port you forwarded and you are all set. That should be about it,Regards,JBabzP.S. I'm completely ready for all the criticism I am going to get for writing the word "thingie" XDP.S.S. I typed this whole thing one handed while my lizard was on my other hand, so eat it lol

Joe888888
Ah, I actually had that problem on my new isp/router too, you may not want to hear this, but, I kinda found out it simply wouldn't work, but you should also try a different port.
