Drummerpete
First, you will need a few programs.Don't worry, all of them are (or CAN BE) free and work fine.1: Photo editing software.- [GIMP](http://www.gimp.org/) (free)- [paint.NET](http://www.getpaint.net/) (free)- [Photoshop](http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/photoshop/) (NOT free)2: A HTML WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor.I recommend [Nvu](http://net2.com/nvu/) (free). For anyone who hasn't used anything like this, what it does is you can edit the HTML code and change the website. Now:Install the programs.Done?Okay.Go to a website with CSS templates.I reccomend either:Free-CSS.comorFree CSS Templates.orgNow, download and extract the template. You will have a CSS stylesheet, a HTML document, images and a read me.The read me will contain the copyright information, so skim through it to see what you're allowed with that template.Open your graphics software and open all the image files. Now: Edit the images to fit in with the theme of your website. This could mean re-colouring, adding images, taking away parts and adding text in.IF you do that, you may need to edit the CSS stylesheet to change text colours or BG colours, so it's good to brush up on [HTML](http://w3schools.com/html/default.asp) and [CSS](http://w3schools.com/css/default.asp).Now, save all the images.Next thing is open the HTML document in Nvu.You will see the webpage. You can now edit all the text and menus.Add in all the menu links, ie: HOME, ABOUT US and DOWNLOADS, or whatever.Copy the HTML file as many times as pages you have, changing the name each time.Remember to edit the links on the menu so that the link to the page you're on isn't clickable.Edit the content accordingly.Once you have finished your website you will need a host.there are many free hosts out there, but my personal preference is [000webhost](http://www.000webhost.com/).Make an account and upload your files![NOTE: WITH 000webhost, for about 24 hours the site needs to be checked, so it will not be viewable, apart from that, I've NEVER had any downtime.]And I think that's all just now.
