tankyroo
Can anyone help? I am EXTREMELY Confused about how this works. What im getting at is, I need to use WinRAR to compress my Whole client when I update it, then I put the .rar file in the server file that came with the updater, then I change the update.ini to >! [FILES]versions=2version1=version1.rarversion2=client.rar Then upload client.rar to filefront and change the updaterinfo.ini file to >! [UPDATER]updateURL= http://www.filefront.com/user/tankyroo and then when somebody clicks on Autoupdater.exe it will download the correct file from filefront and then do something with it.Do I have the right idea or am I doing something totally wrong? please help :(
balliztik1
Filefront does not host your files like you're thinking. You need a webhost that allocates you a subdirectory at least.

balliztik1
Any webhost, really. If you're going to use online updates, you'll need your own space. I don't know of any free filehost that will let you do that, so just get a website, even if you don't use it but to hold your files.
