[Unofficial] Eclipse Code of Conduct (Rules)

There has been a lot of discussion lately about Eclipse, specifically surrounding our community. One of the main concerns is that people here are too mean, and even clique-ish.

This thread is not a suggestion, but rather a plan of action. Adhere to these [unofficial] rules, and we can see a healthier community live forward.

First of all, watch this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlO2_GecWo8

(You can skip to 3:00 and watch from there)

We're all human, and deserve to be treated like one. If you come across a game that looks like it was slapped together lazily, you don't have to be mean when you explain it to the author.

Criticism must be paired with ideas and suggestions on how to improve (otherwise it's not criticism).

Now, that video was taken from JSConf, a very well known conference, and they have their own code of conduct, found here: [http://jsconf.com/codeofconduct.html](http://jsconf.com/codeofconduct.html)

Here is an adaption to fit eclipse; please read the following:

**[Eclipse]** is dedicated to providing a harassment-free **[community]** for everyone, regardless of **[skill level],** gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of **[community members]** in any form. **[Being simply mean and judgmental towards another member is unacceptable.] [Community members]** violating these rules may be **[warned, muted, then banned]** from the **[community]**.

Disclaimer: Yes, I was terrible at the above points a couple of years ago, but I have been very humbled this past year, and it has changed me. What I mean to say is that I'm not innocent by any means, but we can work together to clean up the forums. We need to make it more welcoming to newcomers.
