Missing files?

Okay so, I downloaded the Evolution, but when I run the server, it says, "Component 'MSCOMCTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid". I googled for the OCX file, put it in the Eclipse server folder, and it still says the same thing when I run the server.

I did about 12 times now… It says the installation is finished everytime I run it, but does not fix the problem.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. And I downloaded the 64bit installer.

try right clicking the library files and selecting "run as administrator"

Already did. Still getting the same error. All that does is make me not get client errors. The error I'm getting is from the Server.exe.

download that and run vbc6.exe as administrator.

That should fix any licensing issues with ActiveX objects. Also, which version of  Eclipse are you using?

Eclipse Stable, since I read that it is more preferred.

depends on your point of view actually. Try Origins, I got origins to work on a similar comp using only the library files + vbc6

And now when I run that vbc6.exe as admin, it comes up saying "VBC6 is not detected"

Where do I download Origins? I didn't see it on the download page.

For VBC6? I just did that, still saying the same thing.

I think vbc6 will only work if libraries are installed correctly; it just adds the licenses to use those libraries.

Lol that doesn't explain why I can't get the server to work… I downloaded Origins and the client comes up perfectly, but the server.. yeah.

Not sure how. This is the error when running the server.exe "Run-time error '339': Component 'mscomctl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

Now, when I open Run, and type in "regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx", it says this, "The module of 'mscomctl.ocx" may not be compatable with the version of Windows that you're running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe"

This is the exact errors I am getting.

Install the library files. Run in compatibility mode for XP SP3\. Run as administrator. Turn off UAC.
