Altered
My server, when run ( have library files, have client) opens up, loads all the maps and general nonsense that hasnt yet been created, and then lists my Local IP address and the port 4000\. i dont care about the port being 4000, i know how to change that. its in Server – Data--Config.. the problem is.. theres no ip change. So my question is, HOW THE DUCK do i make the server run off of my external ip, rather than my local ip???

Go to Server>Data>Config and change the IP in there to your external, save it..
Altered
the only contents in the Server– Data-- Options file are as followsOPTIONS]Game_Name=Eclipse OriginsPort= 7001MOTD=Welcome to Eclipse Origins.Website=http://www.touchofdeathforums.com.............i lack an ip option. and so i decided to put one in one time.. IP= ( my external IP) but that didnt solve the problem either.
Robin
Your client is connecting to your external IP, not your server. And keep in mind you'll need to forward your ports.
