Connection Help

When you portforward you use the IP that is shown on your Server WINDOW not your IPchicken address… IPchicken shows you your external IP address.

Now after you portforward using the correct IP, you want to edit the config.ini of your game and use the EXTERNAL IP as the IP for it.

Then distribute the game and other players should be able to connect to your server on your PC.

Sigh. IP Chicken is not your computers address.
Go to your CMD. Make sure to run it as an administrator.
Type "ipconfig" without quotation marks. Your machines IP is in that long list. Scroll down a bit.

I feel weird only being 16 telling people how to use a computer xD

Ok, so on congif.ini, it should look like this right?

[Options]
Username=Aaron
Password=
SavePass= 1
IP=[MY IP ADDRESS FROM IPCHICKEN.COM]
Port= 7001
MenuMusic=totoro.mid
Music= 1
Sound= 1
Debug= 0

Then on the Portforward, it's the image up there. I go to the server status checker, it says Online. When **I** go and try to login to the game, it says the server is offline.

You know what would help? Screenshots fool! :P

Give us screens of what you have done to try and connect.

A problem that could occur is that your IP the you port forward for your server will change EVERYTIME you access the internet.

So I suggest that you get a static IP address… Google is your friend.

Virtual Servers Screenshot:

But the 10 is really a 4.

And config.ini:

I know local host doesn't go there, I just don't have my IP there.

I'm going to assume that your server isn't static.

Alright, so after that just plug in your external IP where 'localhost' is and distribute it. Other players should be able to connect. However you can't connect to your server if config.ini has the external IP and not local host.
