>! Story:

>! Fable Of Reverence (Or FOR for short.) is a single player RPG. Remember  those epic classics like Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG? Yeah, it's  kind of like those. The game takes place in the really old days. Back  when pistols were still being crafted in secrecy by the military. Fun  times right? However, this isn't Earth. This planet is called Paragon.  It's like a mirror version of Earth. The difference is, in Paragon, most  weapons we have today, weren't an option. Things like gun powder didn't  exist. However, the people of this world, can harness inner-energy  called Magic. You know, like the old fantasy stories? Anyways, just like  the old folk lore, this planet is loaded with monsters and dragons and  all sorts of danger. So instead of wars among each other, The Parons  (Human term for the people of Paragon) spent more time fighting off the  creatures that got more stronger, and increased in population every  year. You play as Saito, who doesn't have a last name. He's about 17  years old, and never been to war. His parents died when he was just a  child, and a man called "Galore" raised him, but Galore disappeared a  few years ago when going off to fight the war with the Presages. (The  monsters of Paragon.) He doesn't remember much of his childhood until  when Galore found him, yet the smell of burning ash still remains as a  clue. Saito is usually found in the outskirt forests of his home town,  Decree. Training in the forest alone with dual wooden swords. Something  most people feel disgusted towards. Saito ends up falling asleep while  taking a short break, and has a dream of someone calling out to him,  with the sounds of people screaming afterwards. When Saito awakes from  the shock of the nightmare, he realizes a giant meteor type fireball  heading right into Decree. Colliding and burning everything, Saito  rushes out of the forest to the town of Decree.

Okay, so I decided the old base was way too bulky and stand-out ish. So I'm working on a new one:

These will most likely be Saito's blades later on.

Thanks! I appreciate the reply. I have alot of work to do, and not sure where I'm going with Phoenix mode just yet. (Has to have a proper role in the game. xD)

Not sure if I'm aiming for a team or just gonna take it on solo or not. I'm not the greatest pixel artist, but we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the reply. :3

@Robin:

> Make your topic name shorter next time.

I apologize for that.  I actually changed it right before I read your reply. xD

> What engine is this being made with?

Probably going to end up going with GM. (Using GML that Robin hates so much. >:3)

@NnsNightshade:

> Also, I wasn't talking about pixel art design (I had my hands full up with that >_> ). Was talking about conceptual art (full body drawings). :B And I think your pixel art/edits are very nice, actually <3

Hmm. We'll have to see. Cause I can't draw worth crap. :<

And thanks, I appreciate that! :D

GM is great if you use it for games that are reasonable. For instance, non-mmorpg. Not saying it's impossible, but heh. That's another topic.

Trust me, my drawings.. ARE SCRIBBLES. :D

@NnsNightshade:

> Looking great~ I hope the storyline does the current artwork some justice. Storylines are the most crucial part of a roleplaying game.

Absolutely. Can't agree with you more on that subject. I actually want to have one of those warped storylines, where the past is constantly connected to something important, random things keep happening, I don't want a basic generic storyline.

@NnsNightshade:

> Let me know what to do whenever you have some work for me and I'll hop on it asap.

Will do! I'll probably start on the actual engine (With menus and such) In a week or so.
