GalionKnight
Well, my brother and I are working on a MORPG (Obviously) and we have two different computers to work at. We wanna be able to edit server and client files at the same time. I need help trying to figure out how to do this. We can't use team viewer because then we really wouldn't be able to do what we want.
Ruins of Hell
You need to port forward. See: [Robin's Tutorial](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,68370.msg736649.html#msg736649) on how to do it. Then just send the download link to your brother.Alternatively, you may be able to connect with the loopback IP (127.0.0.1) and just send the client to your brother's computer. GalionKnight
I know how to port forward. Okay, I should be asking this. How do you write scripts through the client if you know what I mean? Btw, we are not putting up our server till we get a router. We are good for now because we are connecting through the same ip.
Ruins of Hell
That's pretty impossible. You'd need to modify a running executable, which you won't be able to do. The only way to edit the server/client is to have Visual Basic 6 installed and edit them. You could set up a DropBox or something and have the source update on both computers, so that way you'd both be using the most current version. GalionKnight
Ahhh well, thanks for the help. We are just gonna use xfire to transfer files and crap.
Conra
Just use dropbox. Much simpler, easier and more effective than port forwarding. It updates on his pc as you update it and vice versa. My whole team uses it and it is very useful. Just google it. Hope i helped.
GalionKnight
It sounds really interesting. You think you could teach me how to use it for the way I want to? Or maybe even make a tutorial for everyone?
Conra
There is a really basic tutorial in the pdf that comes with the download. Read that and you should be fine. If you have any problems just pm me.
