Ruins of Hell
If by modded/hacked you mean to gain extra gold, items, et cetera, then no.If by modded/hacked you mean to crash a server then yes, it's called a DDoS and there's nothing any application can do to stop it except good firewall rules. If by modded/hacked you mean a speed hack, then yes. [This thread might interest you.](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,72537)I'd like to note that most of these attacks are theoretical. There has been a (questionable) attempt of DDoS before and speedhacks can be stopped as mentioned/with moderation.

_Her0
@emplay:> people can mod their gui's too.True, but what harm could that do?
Ruins of Hell
@emplay:> people can mod their gui's too.Errr… yeah. They can make it a different color. Purely graphical and has no effect on the server. They can't even move stuff around. In all games, graphics are stored client-side.
RyokuHasu
@Soul:> In all games, graphics are stored client-side.There are just a few exceptions to that ;DBut for any Eclipse game, and normal games, ya that's true.
Ruins of Hell
@Ryoku:> There are just a few exceptions to that ;D> > But for any Eclipse game, and normal games, ya that's true.If graphics are sent from the server it means one of two things:* Graphics are sent from the server and into a temporary image. Which means you could edit it anyway.* Graphics are constantly streamed from the server, used, and then discarded. That's silly, highly inefficient. It's a neat little experiment but the amount of bandwidth you'll use is crazy. You could have a firewall capture the packets, edit them, and then send it to the actual client, which is far too much trouble to just change the GUI.
