flametail
Would it be possible? Rather than just pick a default sprite, get a default, then change the colors around or the hairstyle, etc.Is this possible to begin with? Not to mention clothes and other things like that. SeeingBlue
Completely possible. Just give your character paperdolls.
Annahstas
No I think he means in creating an account before then. If you can customize your character before game play. Like say you are done making your name then you want to make your character more what you prefer. Different eyes to different hair.
Bcm27
You could do that. IT would involve changing each and every sprite ever so slightly different hair, different eyes, etc.
Baron
Yes this is possible, but would require a fair few changes to work well.Trick is basically adding all the extra choices in a similar manner to paperdolled items, and with the intitial selection sending it to the server with the rest of the characters details when created. Rob Janes
You can Have a base sprite then copy the code for the players sprite to also include a hair option, and make it render the players hair. I'm not going to give away my trade secrets at the moment but I think I included it in my old Samu mods for EO1.5 and could easily be ported to 2.
Rob Janes
Basically add a Hair as long in the playerrec, declare the hair textures in the client, add a render hair option after it renders the player sprites. You'd need to modifying the player data being sent to include the hair and also add an option to change the players hair on account creation. This should explain enough to get you started. Good luck!
