Guest
If you're supposed to zip up eclipse origins.exe with the data files in client, does that mean players can go into the client file and edit the existing characters and other graphics? ark0n
Yeah but what would the point of that be. It's nott changing anything its only for them to see, like it would only be client-wide
Guest
Well, in case I wanted to make another MMO in the future, and I wanted it where people could make their own character, thats why I needed to ask.
Rydo
In that case, you would need all the players to send you there character sprites and put it into the servers sprites so everybody can see them.

Muffen
Or you could program a character creation screen. You give them a set amount of hair styles, shirts, pants, ect and they can make there own character from there.
Exvayate
Yes you can program Eclipse to have a character creation, as well as letting it open custom image file formats.Let's say you wanted Eclipse to open a character sprite as a .spt, which is not a common file type, but you can make it so that Eclipse can open .spt's.:P Or that's what a good friend of mine says.
