Wilfre
Well… In a game I'm making, you're in a desert and you step on something and suddenly this **GIANT** scorpion comes out to kill you! But the thing is is how do I have it where a creature tries to kill you when you step on a certain tile?
emblem
Heh there's no specific way to do that on the current engine without editing the source.Unless you want to be creative and make the tile a warp to an exact copy of the map with an attack on sight monster. :P
Wilfre
I could do that actually, it sends you to a parallel map, same links, use lightning's boss system…
Ruins of Hell
@Wilfre:> I could do that actually, it sends you to a parallel map, same links, use lightning's boss system…Except then everyone else on the map who had not stepped on the tile would disappear. Better would to be to have a new tile type that spawns the monster when stepped on.
emblem
Yeah that's the ideal solution Soul, but like I said above that would require source work.My reply above was the "easiest" solution. :p
Wilfre
The monster was a Pistol Scorpion, measuring about 3 meters long, they sense vibrations in the ground and basically attack anything no more than in a two foot radius of its body, so Scootaloo's idea would work because the creature attacks anything, even other membes of its kind. (that's why it is the apex predator of rainshadow!)
