Joyce Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 If you let the server handle this, you'll get quite the slowdown because calling SQL in VB6 is hardly efficient, especially for a server that needs to handle more than just this. Keep the server for Gamelogic only! Make a second authentication server the user logs in on instead. That way you won't slow down your game server with needless waiting for an SQL Query.
