farthain
Hi guys, I was thinking about trying Eclipse. Is there any way I can run it on a computer that has a dead sound card? I don't have the money to fix/buy a new one. I've gotten it to work before, but it was a few months ago. I'm pretty sure it was a mod though. Thanks! Rainbow Dash
You don't NEED sound. It's just nice to have it playing, but most don't bother with it.
farthain
I guess I forgot to mention the program wont run, and I think its the sound card. Its okay now though, found a custom version that works.

It's just nice to have it playing, but most don't bother with it.You don't need sound, but you need a sound card.If the program can't find the sound card it'll cry and crash. It's basically a case of finding the sound engine initialisation and adding checks for the sound card or error. If they occur then block out the entire sound engine and turn it off.
