Guest
I have been doing some research on "year-round schooling," and its effects on the educational system and curriculum."Year-round" is defined as attending school throughout the year with no period of a "break" lasting longer than a few weeks. (For example, children here in the U.S. experience a "summer break" between the months of may-august )In other words, in a "year-round scenario," children would attend school, and then have intervals where short breaks are inserted throughout the year. Rather than a long period of time off from school.Anyway, according to the PISA (a test that most industrialized countries take), Finland has been determined to have the best educational system. Why I care…I want to analyze Finland's educational system to see if they implement "year-round schooling."I am currently in the process of research, but would like to just get a straight out answer from any of you mates across the Atlantic. If references could be added as far as information about schooling etiquette in Finland, I'd be in your debt.Any input? Drummerpete
There's no point in any of this since you won't be able to change a thing.
Guest
@Pete:> There's no point in any of this since you won't be able to change a thing.except my GPA. I'm doing this for a university class. This isn't one of those "revolutionary ideas." Just looking for a bit of information is all.
