    > no, everyone does, everyone else just knows how to read.

    I read that a sex worker is going to chat with others [obviously not cybering] in Ambardia. I also read that chatting about sex is prohibited. I don't see how I misread the contradiction.
  2. @Ballie:

    > He never said that. All he said was "This is not a "chat in" to become involved in any form of pornographic involvement." Talking to a sex worker and becoming involved in that world are two completely different things. There's no contradiction.

    So you are supposed to talk to her about the weather, or how her day has been going? If so, then what's the point? If not, then I see a contradiction. Talking about sex and saying you don't want people talking about sex is, to me, a contradiction.
  3. @Ambard:

    > Hu? I'm confused.

    Although I was being slightly sarcastic, my question is - How are you going to keep seperate sexual chat out of your game during this event when you want your players to talk with someone who does just that?

    > TimeBomb - you clearly do not have that setup. If you do then dear lord you just saved the entire Internet full of people who have tried to do an Installation of Visual Basic 6 Enterprise on a Windows 7 64bit Machine. How about you read what I wrote before you type? I said after compiling it no longer works and I also said I have to run Visual Basic 6 in Virtual Box (XP install) for the above reason.

    You are correct about one thing, I did not bother to read the original topic.

    First of all, the most likely cause of the problem stated in the original post is either a bad version of vb6 or the fact that you are compiling in a VM.

    Oh, and

  5. I gave you great google keywords [via PM] to help you out, as I thought maybe you should learn something, but apparently you are incapable of even googling, so I have no idea how you are going implement this.

    Anyways, for progress of a download, check out this tutorial:
    http://visualstudiomagazine.com/articles/2008/03/27/simple-asynchronous-downloads.aspx

    For progress of the update itself, just adjust the value of a progress bar at certain places in the update sub/class.

    > Thanks Robin.

    > Just fixed the problem that a 16 x 16 sprite would show in the middle of two tiles instead of centred on one tile. I think you learn a lot more than getting help and doing it yourself than someone just giving you the whole code.

    In a lot of cases, yes, that is true. In some cases it is just easier to give someone, at the very least, the base code for what they need to do.
  7. Actually, Robin was nice and made it quite easy.
    modConstants.vb
    ```
    ' Tile size constants
    Public Const PIC_X As Integer = 32
    Public Const PIC_Y As Integer = 32
    ```
    Of course, you have to change a lot of other 32's if you want to change the game fully to 16 bit. But just the tiles, this is about it (don't  quote me though). You'd probably want to edit the map editor to change from taking 32x32 tiles normally to 16x16.
  8. I'm sure it's not 'just' what I'm about to explain, as I haven't looked at anything involving what you're saying, but I think a good start would be to actually ctrl+f and search the number 32 throughout the project, and change it to 16 (this goes for mostly the client, possibly the server as well) where applicable (i.e. when it is to handle the size of the tiles and such).
  9. Very, very, very bad. It is a POS at the moment.
    Some quick tips to help ya out a bit:

    1) iFrames can be very incompatible depending on how they are implemented and which browser is being used to view them. I HIGHLY recommend you do not use them.
    2) Do not put any CSS directly in the div tags
    3) Put all CSS in a seperate file and link to it with one line in the main HTML
    4) Get a graphics designer and have him make images for the background of the body of the site, bg of the tables, logo, etc. Your graphics are icky and website is extremely plain
    5) Make the website shine, not just with graphics. It is incredibly simple, so simple it seems like a noob did it. If I were you, I'd make a nice website showing off a lot of your talents in a nice high quality website to show off to people who are thinking about buying a website template
    6) Show examples of your previous work to entice visitors
    7) Get a real domain
    8) Put better information about buying on your site
    9) Try and keep all the CSS file(s) and HTML file(s) as organized as possible. This will help you in the long run, and also your costumers probably won't be happy with messy website coding.
    10) Try and keep as much as you can CSS based, such as text styles. Even the **tag should be able to be implemented via CSS. It is more organized, cleaner, easier to handle, and more professional.
    11) Get a legit, professional email address to go with your new domain
    12) Never use any of those free domains crap with a legit business over the internet. You'll get laughed at and won't get any customers.

    There is a lot more I could tell you, but I'll let you learn that on your own.
    If you have to question anything I just said in the tips above, then you are not ready to sell website templates, especially for the laughable prices you have them at now. Go and learn about web design, layouts, HTML, and CSS for another 6-24 months if that is the case.**

    > See, that's not a good thing.
    > Sure, you don't let every little thing during the day get to you. So you missed the bus, you can catch the next one. There was no seats free on the bus and you had to stand. You were twenty minutes late for work.
    > Whatever.
    > The difference in philosophy here is I'm in favor of 'don't let the little things bring you down' while you seem to be 'duck it I don't even care anymore'.
    > I just can't see the second route leading to anything good, and even if it somehow did you would be too tuned out to appreciate it.

    *shrug* I guess not everybody can have the same lifestyle as everybody else.
  11. @Thorn:

    > Well see, there's a pretty strong distinction there. In fact, those are pretty much two entirely different things.

    Hehe the only thing is I don't just stop worrying, I turn down the meter in my mind that defines how much I care about things in general, if ya catch my drift.
  12. @Thorn:

    > Wasn't calling you a douchebag, though looking at it I guess I accidentally implied that.
    > And not giving a shit is never justified. At best it puts off issues and you have to deal with them later, at worst you start alienating people and causing yourself significant problems.
    >
    > Whatever reasons you have, there are better ways to handle them then to not give a shit. I don't think you could change my mind on this.

    By 'not giving a shit' I dont mean 'being a douchebag' I mean 'stop worrying about every little thing every second of the day'.
  13. @Marsh:

    > That was actually pretty decent sounding. Not sure about great but definitely worth a listen.

    The problem is that since Dokken was not the most popular band, there aren't a lot of performances from them on video, and not a lot of high quality MP3s/Videos floating around the world of torrents and piracy. Thus, the videos our quite a bit lower quality then one would like, and a lot of their best stuff isn't up for free, public listening.

    Still, if you can find a good performance with lynch in it in high quality, it's pretty epic to the ears imo.
  14. @Thorn:
    First of all, I'm not a douchebag, I'm a troll.
    Second of all, lately my life has become very stressful for multiple really shitty reasons, so 'not giving a shit' does actually elevate stress off my shoulders.
    I am saying that, because I have self confidence, I could care less what other people think what I look like. Am I fat? Am I ugly? Am I a hairy ape? I could care less, they can live with it or leave the pool.
